Sammy Davis Jr. & Peter Lawford Are Salt & Pepper

I am a huge fan of the Sammy Davis Jr. and Peter Lawford flick Salt & Pepper. I had been wanting to see it for a long time. It had come highly recommended from my good pallie Dino Martin Peters. I'm so thrilled that I finally got a chance to get it from Netflix. I loved it and One More Time (the sequel directed by Jerry Lewis) so much that I bought both of them recently. I'm delighted to have them as part of my film collection now. For anyone who loves a good Rat Pack flick, it doesn't get much better that this. This is basically a swingin' spy caper that came out in 1968. I've always been a big fan of Sammy, but it took this film to help me realize how awesome Peter was as well. I hope you'll give it a shot if you haven't seen it. If you have seen it, what did you think of it? Here's a movie poster from the flick, plus a video clip of the trailer. Enjoy!

I'm going to have to rent this myself from Netflix. I had never seen it. That trailer sold me on it. I really like that poster too. Thank you for introducing me to this movie.

I hope you definitely will. I'm sure you'll get a kick out of it. I'm glad I could let you know about it. It was my pallie DMP who first told me about it.

Hey pallie Keith, thanks for you kind words my Dinobro and for the link to the ol ilovedinomartin Dinoblog...what wonderful news to my Dinoears that you now own the two sam and peter flicks....I'm afraid that they will be gone forever sometimes soon and wouldna wanted you to be without 'em forever....Peter and sam are so very cool in Salt and Pepper..what chemistry they have on screen and what a groovy time they have....I loves the scene where Peter is makin' it with the chick in his room....reminds me so much of the Dinoscene from Murder's Row where our Dino is on his round bed with Miss J. To tell the truth...and yous probably knows this already....I am basically a Dino-one kind of guy...but Salt and Pepper is that rare exception that I allows myself to indulge in....just wish that our Dino had been part of this really hip caper...again thanks for you kind Dinomention...

Hey pallie DMP. Your welcome. Always willing to give my pallie a plug at the wonderful Dinoblog. I'm glad that I got my hands on those two flicks. I was scared to wait around to get them. You never know when things like that will be dropped forever. I knew Salt and Pepper must be cool if you liked it since you were basically just a Dino fan. I had to see it. I loved it. They do have great chemistry. That movie definitely helped me like Peter even more. I've always been a big fan of Sammy. Oh yeah. That is a cool scene of Peter and that chick. I love their club and their pad. Very cool and hip. Yeah, it would have been cool if Dino had been in this flick too, even if he had only done a cameo role. It was still really cool to get a chance to see a couple of his pallies do a flick like this. I'm glad you recommended it to me and that I finally saw it. I'm also thrilled that I had the bread to go ahead and buy it soon after.

Hey pallie Keith, this is definitely one of those flicks that a pallie like you will wanna digg over and over....the sequel just doesn't turn me on like the original...no where near the action or cool settin'...btw...I loves the poster...to die to get an original of that...and you gots to know that I waited like decades to see "Salt and Pepper." Never saw it on it's original release and it like never came out in vid...so when I discovered it on DVD...I went like totally crazy to see it...and it is truly one classic...loves Peter even more then the sam in it....

Hey pallie DMP. So true. I definitely want to watch it over and over. There were things I liked in the sequel, but it's not where near as good as this one. Glad you dig the poster. I thought it was really cool. It's a shame that you didn't get to see it back then, but at least you got a chance once it hit DVD. I wonder why it never came out on VHS. Oh well. At least we have it now to enjoy. Peter and Sammy are both awesome in it. Great chemistry. These are two cool cats. Cheers!
