Sharon Tate Tribute Video: I Really Miss Her

I missed posting this on August 9th. That was the date in 1969 that Sharon Tate was brutally murdered by the monstrous Manson Family. Sharon is one of my favorite female stars of the 1960's. She's also one of my favorite co-stars in a Dean Martin movie. She played alongside Dino in the last of the Matt Helm spy flicks The Wrecking Crew. I plan to actually write a review of that film sometime in the near future, along with reviews of the other three films in that franchise as well. I also plan to post some pictures of Sharon very soon as well. Today I wanted to post this tribute video that I had come across at some point in the past. It always brings tears to my eyes to think of the beautiful woman we lost almost forty years ago. She held so much promise in her life and career. She was gorgeous, but also had a great sense of humor. Today I raise a toast to Sharon Tate.

  2. Hey pallie DMP. Thanks for your comments. Yeah, I thought she was great in TWC. She played a klutz so well who was really a bombshell underneath. It was so tragic how her life ended. TWC was the second to the last film of hers she made before she was murdered. I need to get started on those reviews of the Matt Helm flicks when I get some time, plus I've been having lots of trouble at work.

  8. DMP: So true. Thanks for everything.

Paul: Your welcome. Glad you liked it.

Jeremy: I definitely agree with you on that. It's a shame we never got to see more of her.

Terri: I really hope you get a chance to see it. I enjoyed this movie a lot. Besides Dino and Sharon, it also had Elke Sommer. She's another one of my favorites. I would love to see those pictures you have from this movie.

  11. Sharon's death was so sad, it's beyond words. She had a real screen presence and it's good to see her remembered here. I eagerly await your reviews on the Matt films. Sorry to read you're having trouble at work. It's a shame our efforts at work so very often diminish what should be our quality time doing things we enjoy. I'm having the same trouble at the moment.

  12. Terri: Pallie, I look forward to seeing whatever ones you may have.

Mike: Glad you liked it. Me too.

Steve: Thanks for the comments. I've always had a special place for Sharon in my heart. It's so sad how her life was cut so short and tragically at that. I hope to get started with those reviews very soon. I've had trouble at work since a new boss took over at the turn of the year. It does make it hard at times to enjoy the things in life one wants to. Good luck with your situation.
