I am on the wrong post I know, but I miss those old Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin films. I live in China now if you do not know and getting movies is hard form me. I download everything and that is dependent on my connection and finding the stuff and then it being able to seed to me.
I just got in a batch of Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan flicks and maybe some old Jerry Lewis is next, even the stuff eh directed which a lot of people hate, but I always liked them.
I think I saw on your profile you are in maintenance or cleaning as a way of bread winning? Is this true? I was a "janitologist" myself for many years. I am teaching English in China now... or sort of teaching. I should do a blog about my adventures here in that area and give some pointers. we'll see.

Hey Bill. Thanks for the comments. Did you see the graphic that I posted in my other post for today? It's of Dean and Jerry. I do love those old Martin-Lewis movies. Those were actually the first movies I ever saw that starred Dino. My intro to him was from hearing his records at my grandmother's house and watching those celebrity roasts.
I had gotten ready to ask you what you were doing in China, but I see that you are teaching English. That blog idea sounds fascinating. I know I would love to read that.
I'm sorry that it's so hard to get movies there. Those movies sound cool. Good luck with all that.
Yeah, I'm a maintenance/cleaning man. I've been doing it for almost 7 years now. It's not a glam job, but it pays the bills. I need like it better before a new boss took over. We've had a lot of problems with him. The economy is so bad that there's not exactly a lot of other jobs out there. I would love to do something else. It would be cool to have a job that I enjoyed and made a good living at.
Thanks as always for your comments. I appreciate them. Cheers!
P.S. I don't mind if you advertise your blog here.
Hey Glenn. I love this song by Sammy. It's one of the first songs of his I can remember. My grandma listened to it a lot. I've always loved it. Yeah, I really love Birth of the Blues as well. Sammy had a lot of great tunes. Your welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for your comments.
Hey Scott. Thanks for the comments. Glad you enjoyed it. All I know is that this clip was from a performance in Germany. Yeah, Sammy does look like he's having fun. Cheers!
I thank god that I got the chance to see Sammy in concert before he passed... I also worked the jerry lewis telethon and was like 10 feet from him but I was way to possessed with fear to say anything. Young and dumb ...
Hey Anthony. Thanks for the comments. Wow! That is so cool. I would have loved to have seen Sammy. I would probably be in fear of Jerry Lewis myself. lol That's neat that you got to work the telethon.
My god, did you see the size of those cufflinks?! I love those rings as well. This is how real men dressed and should dress today. Also, what a beautiful voice that man had.....
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog. I really appreciate it. I'll return the favor at your blog. If you would like to exchange links with me, then please feel free to let me know. Have a great day.

ReplyDeleteHey pallie DMP. I love this song. One of the first songs I remember from Sammy. Yeah, maybe he was singing about Dino.
ReplyDeleteCandy man was a great song. One of Sammy Davis Jr's. Best songs I often listen to on a CD - The best of Sammy Davis Jr.
ReplyDeleteAnother great song on that CD is Birth of the Blues.

ReplyDeleteI love Sammy's style. The man could dress. I've love to dress like that. Besides having great style, the man had an incredible voice.
