Dean Martin did advertising for various companies over the years. It was a win-win situation for both Dino and these companies. Any business would have been wise to hire the King of Cool to pitch their products. They were sure to bring in plenty of Dino fans, who would buy their product or use their service because Dino recommended it. Plus I'm sure Dino enjoyed the money and other perks that he received for these endorsements deals.

I would definitely buy it!... :)
ReplyDeleteAh! Old ads are the best! I love this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gabbi.

ReplyDeleteHey pallie DMP. Thanks for the comments. Glad I could introduce you to a pic you hadn't seen before. I thought it was really cool. Any product Dino advertises is a product that Dino fans are going to want to support.

ReplyDeleteI rember seeing that ad, on a E! True Hollywood Story about Deano himself....he sure can make using the pay phone very cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny ad for a telephone company! I love the fact that you can see only his bow tie and his pink ring! So there was a time in history that people did not have cell phones? I can hardly remember! LOL Great ad!
ReplyDeleteWho knew that this existed?! So fun, thanks for posting, Keith :)
ReplyDeleteThe ad is adorable!
ReplyDeleteBisous,
La C.
Hey, Keith! Good job as usual posting GREAT stuff here... My dad used to frequent a bar or two in his day, & took me to a couple when I was old enough to order a "Roy-Rogers". Anyway, back around '59, at one bar; The Bat Rack, in Santa Monica, we went in & Dino himself was there! Nice guy, As I recall.
ReplyDeleteDigging his bow tie.
ReplyDeleteHey jbfunky. That's cool that you saw something about this ad. I never did. Yeah, Dino can make anything look cool. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey Mirko. Thanks for the comments. Glad you enjoyed that ad. I thought it was neat the way they did the pics of him. It is hard to believe now that there was a time that nobody had a cell.
ReplyDeleteThanks Allison. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThanks La C. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey Timmy. Thanks for the comments. I definitely wanted to post more of the pics you sent me. I think I've got posts set up for like the next week. That's so cool about the bar. Wow! I would love to have seen Dino. Cheers!
