These pictures of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis come courtesy of my pallie Katrien. I think these pictures are fantastic. They are some of the best I've seen of Dino and Jerry together. My favorite comedy duo of all time is definitely the team of Martin and Lewis. They ruled the box office, television, radio, nightclubs, etc. for a decade. They were solid gold superstars. It's a shame that things finally soured between these two. They each went their separate ways and had wonderful solo careers. I think many of us wish they had done even more projects together before they parted company. If you've never seen one of their comedy flicks, you definitely owe it to yourself to see at least one as soon as possible. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. With so much turmoil going on in our country and world right now, it's good to find some good escapist fun to have some laughs. Even if you've watched some of their movies in the past, I hope you'll check them out again. You know that you won't be sorry for it. Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis always put a smile on my face and make me laugh so hard. I'm sure they will do the same for you.
Hello Keith. I absolutely love all these photos. I think the world of both Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. They were fantastic as a team. I love their films.
ReplyDeleteAh, it was a different age.. I am envious of those who got to see it. I am sure the hardships then were mighty given all the things historically that were going on.. though I find myself wishing I could visit, just to see what it was like.
ReplyDeleteWe certainly don't have comedians like them around anymore, the brand of humor has just changed way too much. *sigh* nostalgia..
What a stylish duo :) These photographs are wonderful. I shall definitely have to check out one of their movies together!

ReplyDeleteHey Steph. Thanks for the comments. I appreciate them very much. I hope you're doing well. I totally agree. The 1950's certainly had its share of problems. No decade doesn't have something going. I would still love to be able to go back then. We definitely don't have comedians like these two anymore.

ReplyDeleteMan, those are great pics! Although they didn't star in it together, I must admit that one of my all-time favorite movies, (as cliche as it may be), is the Nutty Professor. (The original, naturally, not the painful remake!)
