Check out this clip of Robbie Williams performing his cover of the Dean Martin classic Ain't That A Kick In The Head. While I don't think anybody does this song quite like Dino, I do really like Robbie's take on this tune. I hope you enjoy it too. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing ,but Robbie isn't my cup of tea...I'd like to see Harry Connick Jr covering it though
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic iteration of this classic song! Thank you for posting this, Keith.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day,
♥ Jessica
Robbie Williams has been my most favorite singer since I was about 10 and it were his swing melodies that brought me to listening Frank, Dean and all the others. With all the respect to his rock and pop songs, I think that swing suits him the best. I really like his "Swing When You're Winning" album and his concert at Royal Albert Hall was outstanding. I still hope, he will do one more swing CD like he promised a long time ago (back then when he was still concerting and making new songs).
ReplyDeleteP.S. I believe that there is a remark that he adores Dino in the book "Feel", which was written about him by a journalist and his friend.
P.P.S. Have you seen this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-CC6VmnsmY ?
The back up band was very cool, nice addition to the performance.
ReplyDeleteHey Gingey. I totally understand. Some people like Robbie, while others don't. No problem.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jessica. I'm glad you liked it. I thought he did a good version of the song. That's my favorite Dino tune.
ReplyDeleteHey Kristyna. Thanks for the great comments. It's nice to meet a Robbie fan up here. I've bought some of his CDs over the years. I do wish he would do more swing music. I love what I've seen from his concert at the RAH. I've posted some Robbie clips a couple of other times. Check out my labels section in my sidebar for them. I hope you like them. Thanks again. Take care. Cheers! P.S. I'll check out that link.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim. I agree with ya. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThis is a good clip. The crowd really loves him. He does do a good job with this cover. I like his swing music.
ReplyDeleteThanks Phoebe. I like his take on this tune. Yeah, the crowd is having a blast.
ReplyDeleteHey pallie Keith, I loves how much Robbie loves our Dino and wants to emulate him...loves his Dinopatter on the Dean Martin Forever Cool DVD that goes with the CD....one of the Dinotreasures I sent your way....
ReplyDeletehaha I could dance on it all day long :)
ReplyDeleteHey pallie DMP. It is cool how much Robbie adores Dino. It's always nice to see a modern star who is such a big fan of Dino. Thanks again for that great gift. I still cherish that CD so much. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sonia. Me too.
ReplyDeleteGreat video! I really like Robbie, he and Nicole Kidman also did a good cover of 'Something Stupid' do you remember that one?
ReplyDeleteHey Gabbi. Thanks. Glad to see you like him. Yes, I love that song and video. I posted it in the past on this blog. If you check out my labels section on the sidebar, you'll see that I've done a few posts on Robbie in the past. Check them out if you like.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the answer. I've already went thru your "Robbie Williams" sections, as far as I know, it was his name that brought me to your blog for the first time. I really liked Rob's voice at Dino's "Forever Cool" album. Too bad Dean nor Frank are alive, so he could sing alive with them.
ReplyDeleteHey Kristyna. Thanks. That's cool that Robbie is what brought you to my blog in the first place. I've found that all sorts of other celebs have been what got people to first visit my blog. It would be great if the Rat Pack was still around today. I would love to hear an actual duet between any of those cool cats and Robbie.
ReplyDeleteLove this song and rendition! You always find the best pics and vids, K!
