Bobby Darin Is Singing This Weekend
Not sure how many of you are fans of Bobby Darin, but I've always liked him. Here's some clips of him performing. I hope you enjoy them. Which one do you like the best? Have a cool & swingin' weekend. Cheers!
Dream Lover:
Mack the Knife:
Beyond the Sea:
Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You:
P.S. I know that some of my blogging friends have have Etsy stores? How do you like it? Was it hard to set up? Have you made any sells? Anything you can share with me would be well appreciated. I've been looking into, but I wanted to check with you guys first. Thanks.
Very cool indeed, thank you for the awesome tunes, just the right musical note (pun intended) to kick start the weekend off on! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic Friday, Keith!

Bobby Darin had a very contentious relationship with Irv Cottler who was Sintara's drummer. Cottler once told him that he should sing the songs and he will play the drums.
ReplyDeleteBobby Darin was never a very serious singer. He was more of a teeny bopper commodity but he was good at what he did.
I love Etsy! :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great Friday Keith!
Darrin was alway one of my favorites. Like Sinatra, he had his own unique way of "putting over" a song. Too bad the movie with Kevin Spacey didn't do better.
ReplyDeletemack the knife, with no doubt!
ReplyDeleteHey Jessica. Thanks. I'm really glad you enjoyed those. I had been wanting to post about him. Enjoy your weekend. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey James. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I never knew that about Bobby and Irv Cottler. Oh yeah. You are right about Bobby. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteAre you on Etsy, Janet?
ReplyDeleteHey Bruce. Thanks. Glad to see you're a fan. I wish the movie had done better.
ReplyDeleteHey Insider. That is a classic tune.
ReplyDeleteLooove the videos!
ReplyDeletebisous,
La C.
Thanks La C. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI love Bobby Darin. I'm a "Beyond the Sea" type of girl.
ReplyDeleteThanks Phoebe. Bobby is awesome. I love that song too.
ReplyDeleteBooby was one of the cool guys. Big Fan!
ReplyDeleteLove these videos. I've always been a fan of "Dream Lover." My mom has had that song playing for years - I used to dance to it as a toddler! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Richard. That's cool that you're a fan of Bobby too. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey Erika. Thanks. Glad to see you're a fan of a his music. I did always love Dream Lover. Great song.
ReplyDeleteYou have got to love the first picture!Enjoyed it very much! love the hair styles of that time :-)))
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not hard to set up. I'm getting more exposure to my shop through my blog but I don't know that I've made any sales because of the blog yet. Adding as many tags as you can to your products is crucial as it helps people find your products easier. There is so much on Etsy now! It's really hard to wade through them all. Be as descriptive as you can in your product descriptions, be very specific about policies within your shop, returns, shipping etc.
ReplyDeleteYou need to make the decision of whether you want to ship overseas or not. A lot of international people don't understand that shipping costs across the board have gone up in the US, I've even been called a liar about quotes that I've given international customers.
The listing costs are much more affordable that Ebay and the listings last much longer, although the longer they are up the more stuff from other people will pile on top of it and your products will be pushed to the back so to speak.
Anyway, if you have any other question, I'd be more than happy to answer them!
What a swinging rendition of Sea - I think Harry Connick recorded it later
ReplyDeleteHe was the best all-around entertainer, a performer who could do it all and provided so much in so little time! Thanks for posting and keeping his music alive!
ReplyDeleteI love his version of "Can't take my eyes of you"
ReplyDeleteHave a great Friday : )
Great post Keith - digging the "Beyond the Sea" video clip. Hope your weekend is cool and mellow.
ReplyDeleteHey Keith,
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing! In this case I have to confess: I knew his music before I even knew his name.... I became aware of Bobby Darin first at "Beyond the sea", the film with Kevin Spacey, pretty odd. Shame on me?! :)
Wishing you a fabulous swinging weekend, Keith!
