More Of The Adventures Of Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis
I posted the covers of issues #1 through #5 on The Adventures of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis the other week. I know that many of you really enjoyed seeing those covers. Here now are issues #6 through #10. I hope you enjoy these just as much.
These are so much fun! I'm going to keep my eyes uber peeled at garage sales and second hand book stores on the off-chance of running into one of these awesome comics.
Dear Keith, thanks so much for your comment on my blog! I love your blog a lot, too! I will add you to my blog roll today. You know what? My first love was Gene Kelly at age of 10. I became very attracted to all of the b/w films. My favourite actors became very soon Jean Harlow, Frank Sinatra, Clark Gable and all those amazing & uber-cool icons in film history. It was very hard to live in this world than rather share the interests of children in same age/in my class. Yep, coolness is timeless, indeed! Happy to have found your marvellous blog! Happy weekend to you! Sofie (www.modediktat.de)
PS. Uuuuh, forgot to mention at all: great covers! The sense of humor was so very different as it is today. I enjoyed watching them very much, thank you!!!
Hey Jessica. Thanks. Glad you enjoy these so much. That's a good idea. I've been planning to do the same thing. I'd love to get my hands on some of these. Enjoy your Friday and weekend. Cheers!
Hey Sofie. Thanks so much for the great comments. It was wonderful to hear from you. I'm really glad you enjoy my blog and these covers. I did add your blog to my blogroll. Thanks for doing the same.
I love Gene Kelly. I've got a cousin who's a big fan of his. I grew up listening to a lot of music from the Rat Pack. That's courtesy of my grandmother. I got into watching a lot of classic movies. Cary Grant was my favorite actor of that era.
I hope you will have a fantastic weekend. Thanks again for stopping by and commenting. Take care. Cheers!
Hey Keith, lol, you're kiddin ;) Cary Grant was/is also one of my very first favourites at all! On of my alltime Top5 "Bringing up Baby" - but many, maaaany more. He was such a smart guy... My first Gene Kelly was "Living in a Big Way" - and well, there goes my heart... I became addicted to all of them. And if I say all, I mean it: At least I've enjoyed even James Stewart dancing and singing.... ;) Jean Harlow in The Girl from Missouri, Hold your Man... Hell, that was entertainment.... :) xoxo, Sofie (www.modediktat.de)
Hey Sofie. I kid you not about Cary Grant. He's a legend. I love all his movies from comedy to romance to suspense. He was also quite stylish. I love "Bringing Up Baby." There were so many other movies I loved as well. I love so many stars from that era. That's when stars were really stars. Hope you're having a great weekend so far. Cheers!
Hey Nic. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I'm glad you like my blog. I appreciate that. I hope you'll come back again soon. Have a great weekend. Cheers!
Hey Keith! Thanks so much, I'm happy to be back and catching up with you!
These are awesome! I love your blog so much.
WOW that concert sounds so fun...I think they were all playing out here too but I missed it, I hope you had fun, tell me how it was! All 3 together, how awesome is that! I heart me some Cheap Trick :)
Hey Liz. Thanks. Great hearing from you. Glad to see you back. I love your blog too. It's awesome.
I had a fantastic time at the concert. I had seen Poison in the past, but never Cheap Trick or Def Leppard. Those bands were all popular in my teen years. It brought back a lot of memories. Plus it was cool to hang out with my brother.
Guess what!?! I was talking to the owner of a local thrift store. She told me that she sold a few issues of Jerry's comic a few weeks ago. I had asked her if she ever had any of Dean and Jerry's comic. That's when she told me about Jerry's. I wish I could have gotten my hands on it.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog. I really appreciate it. I'll return the favor at your blog. If you would like to exchange links with me, then please feel free to let me know. Have a great day.
I am really loving these. I can't wait to see more.

They had this comic. When Martin-Lewis broke up, the comic became just about Jerry.
ReplyDeleteI would totally love to frame this and put them in a home office or rec room, if I had either. Ah ha. The hubs took over our office/guest room.
ReplyDeleteHey Kristin. Sorry your hubby took over the space. Yeah, this would be cool framed up. Hope your week has started off well. Cheers!
