James Bond Movie Posters From The Roger Moore Era

The first James Bond movie I ever saw was For Your Eyes Only, which was released in 1981. I saw it at my local drive-in. It was actually the last movie I ever saw there. I loved this movie so much. It was my introduction to the world of 007. I was around 10 when I saw it. I have seen every Bond movie since then at the theater. I would go on to see the previous ones either on television or video. While Sean Connery is my favorite Bond, I'll always have a special place in my heart for Roger Moore. Plus Moore is actually the favorite Bond of both of my siblings. Here are some posters from the seven Bond films that Roger Moore made from 1973 to 1985. Which is your favorite?

Live And Let Die (1973)

P.S. I hope you'll check out my latest post at Celluloid Slammer. It's a video featuring some very sexy Playboy Bunnies. If I could make my own time machine, I would definitely be visiting some of the Playboy Clubs of the past. Please feel free to leave some comments on that blog post. I'd love to know what you think of that video. Thanks.

  9. Oh man, you must have hated my Bond Awards. I was not nice to Roger Moore ;)

  10. Sick selection of eye poppin' one sheet posters for Mr. Moore as 007! Remember a bunch of hubbub about the For Your Eyes Only poster during the films release, with some theaters censoring the buttocks.

  11. Hey E.K. No, I was okay with them. LOL Sean Connery is my favorite Bond. I like Roger Moore, but he's no Connery.

  18. Without a doubt: "Live and Let Die" and "A View to a Kill". I like Roger - we share the same birthday! It is my dream some day to own every single James Bond film on DVD - I'd even buy "On her Majesty's Secret Service" even though it's my least favourite.

    ReplyDelete

  44. The Spy Who Loved is my fave (and a great soundtrack too) when I saw it at the cinema the entire audience clapped as the Union Jack parachute opened - Live and Let Die was the first Bond film I saw at the pictures

    ReplyDelete
  45. Hey Dave. I love The Spy Who Loved Me. BBC America was doing a marathon of Moore's Bond movies. That's so cool about the audience cheering when the Union Jack come up. I do love that flag.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Love the early 70's Roger Moore Bond. Connery is still on the tops though. This new kid ain't half bad either...but nothing can compare to 60's & 70's spies.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hey Chris. Thanks. Yeah, the 60's belonged to Connery and the 70's to Moore. I like Craig, but there's nothing like classic Bond.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I grew up in the Roger Moore era as well. The drive-in's were always a lot of fun, I guess they weren't a good business model because not too many around any more.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hey Jim. Thanks. Glad you liked this posts. I miss drive-ins. There was something so cool about them. Much prefer them over the cinemas of today. I rarely go to the movies anymore. I'm a Netflix guy now.

    ReplyDelete
  50. they were both good. don't shoot me for this, but daniel craig is awfully cute, so i am ok with him being 007 now. :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hey Droll. Thanks for commenting. Nothing wrong with that. My sis thinks Daniel Craig looks good.

    ReplyDelete
  60. OMG, it's ROGEEEEER. I love him so much. You know you got to give your props to Sean but I still can't help it love me some Roger Moore. :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Great posters Keith! My fave is 'For Your Eyes Only'... I don't have a favorite Bond, but I really wish I did. Will have to watch more 007 films so I can develop a more concrete opinion on the matter. :)

    ReplyDelete
  65. Hey Steph. Thanks for commenting. Yeah, I know how much you love Roger. I do really dig him myself. He was the Bond that introduced me to the world of 007. Connery is still the man in my eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hey Gabbi. Thanks. I love the poster of FYEO. I hope you do get a chance to see more of the movies. Most people that watch all of them do tend to have a favorite Bond among them.
