One of my favorite tunes by Frank Sinatra is Fly Me To The Moon. I don't think I've ever posted this particular video before. It's from his special A Man & His Music II.
I love the A Man and His Music series -- I was so excited when TCM played them last year, so now I have them on tape :) I love the duets he did with his daughter, especially.
Hey Kate. Thanks for commenting. I love those specials so much. I was thrilled myself when they were aired last year. His stuff with Nancy was great. I definitely recommend A Man & His Music.
I particularly like the menswear of the 50s and 60s. Some might say those were dull decades (especially the 50s) but watching Cary Grant escaping and chasing in a suit is not dull!
Hey Man. Thanks for commenting. I love the men's fashion of the 50's and 60's. There's nothing boring about it at all. I totally agree with you on Cary Grant. I've actually got a post coming up on him very soon.
So awesome. Remember the good old days when entertainment could be as simple as watching someone with (talent) simply stand there and sing? Sinatra, Tom Jones, Dino.. they all had awesome TV shows and the second they started singing.. you had no choice but to hang on EVERY note! I'll tell you.. it's a sorry state today compared to the talent of yesteryear.
Hey Droll. Thanks for commenting. I doubt I'm going to be Sinatra or anybody else for Halloween. lol
Hey Dad. Thanks for your comment. I totally agree with you. These guys had talent. They could entertain us like nobody else. There is nobody out there today quite like that. I miss these guys.
Hey Clare. Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the photo and video. Cheers!
I have this DVD at home. I bought two of them when I was in Paris the last year. I didn't have much idea what I was buying but I am glad, I did buy them. It is an amazing piece of the history of Sinatra.
Hey Kristyna. Thanks for commenting. That's so cool that you bought it. Yeah, it's definitely something that anybody who likes Sinatra should have if they can get it.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog. I really appreciate it. I'll return the favor at your blog. If you would like to exchange links with me, then please feel free to let me know. Have a great day.
