Some Of My Favorite Tunes By The Beatles
It seems that you can't turn anywhere these days without seeing something about The Beatles. I've been listening to a lot more of their music lately because of it. The four lads from Liverpool definitely made some amazing music during their time together. Here are clips of my some of my favorite tunes from the band. They are not in any specific order. I will say that Here Comes The Sun is my favorite song by The Beatles. I think it's a beautiful song, plus it's sung by George Harrison (my favorite Beatle). These are not by any means all the songs of theirs I love. So what is your favorite song by The Beatles? Who is your favorite Beatle?
Here Comes The Sun:
Revolution:
Twist and Shout:
Let It Be:
Come Together:
I Saw Her Standing There:
Yesterday:
I Want To Hold Your Hand:
Can't Buy Me Love:
Hey Jude:
I'm going to watch these later on. I love the Beatles. My favorite song of theirs is Let It Be. My favorite Beatle is Paul.
ReplyDeleteThanks Phoebe. That's actually my second favorite song by them. Paul is the favorite of both my mom and sis. My bro loves John. Not sure who my dad likes. I doubt it's Ringo though. lol
ReplyDeleteExcellent choices. I've been listening to Beatles-a-rama lately. So many good memories.
ReplyDeleteHey Jude is my favorite. I'm so excited I found your blog because I've been in looove with Dino since I was a baby (literally, my grandma and grandpa would play his records as when I was an infant).
ReplyDeleteAnd is that Cary Grant as youd default? I can't really tell. Thanks for keeping the classics alive! I'd love to follow your blog if you follow me too? Let me know on my comments! :)
Oh man, I absolutely love "Come Together." That and "Let It Be" are my two all time favorites...though they're all so amazing that how could you just pick one?! I love this post, Keith! =)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to choose but you chose some good ones!
ReplyDelete"Can't buy me love" is such an incredible classic from their early years - love it! ...and "Hey Jude" - I love the way it builds and at the end it's an epic force of nature!! I Love, love Abbey Road, Let it be, The White Album and Sgt Peppers!! Maybe Abbey ROad is my fave - and fave beatle - John although George is pretty special too. Super post Keith - sorry for the ramble!!
ReplyDeleteHave you bought the Remasters Keith I'm very tempted..fave Fabs song tough call as it always changes, but you can find a few here along with out-takes, alt.takes, covers and bootleg remixes - but at the moment I'm obsessed with side 2 of Abbey Road - pure genius. I've visited several Beatles Liverpool sites, but there are actually more in London and I've ticked off a few of those too..
ReplyDeletePS check out Charlie Dore's 'Here Comes the Sun' you'll love it!
Oh and fave Beatle Paul (my middle name is Paul because of Macca)
Beatles are everywhere in Paris too. I must say "Jealous guy" is one of my favorite. Don't know why ;)
ReplyDeleteHey Catcher. Thanks. I've had the Beatles in my head so much lately.
ReplyDeleteHey Cancha. Thanks so much. I appreciate your great comment. It was so nice to hear from you. I'm so glad you enjoy my blog. I definitely hope you will continue to visit and comment. I just visited and left a comment at your blog. That is Sean Connery in my pic. I love James Bond. Of course, I do love Dean Martin. I also love Cary Grant. I've actually got a Cary Grant post coming up in a week or two.
ReplyDeleteHey Allison. Thanks for the comment. It is so hard to pick just one. I love both of the songs you mentioned. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteHey Diana. Thanks. It was hard just to stop with these. There are so many good ones.
ReplyDeleteHey Sam. Thanks for the comment. No ramble there. I enjoyed reading it. Great songs all. I love all of those. I do really like John. Glad you think George is cool. Take care. Have a wonderful weekend. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey Dave. Thanks for the comment. Great hearing from you. I'll check out those links. I appreciate them. I would love to be able to visit a bunch of Beatles sites. Unfortunately I've never seen any at all. I've always wanted to walk across Abbey Road.
ReplyDeleteHey La Flore. Thanks. That is so cool. I'm not as familiar with that tune as some of the others. I'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteJ'adore The Beatles. I've always had a soft spot for the song Penny Lane - fueled by my passion for the film Almost Famous, of course. Love these videos. My favorite Beatle has always been a toss up between John and Paul! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Beatles song changes a lot. Right now I love "Blackbird." I grew up loving the Sgt. Pepper's record and was fascinated with the lyrics and the album art.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my facebook albums Keith and you'll see one of my doing the Abbey Road walk album called Rock Locations
ReplyDeleteJust a couple of days ago, I was cheching out this cover! Did you see the news about the men at the cover? An american tourist, I guess, who is 92 years-old who was tripping in London. At the time, he said, he gad no idea who the Beatles was and he thought that they are sort of street people who were messing around with their bare foot!
ReplyDeletehahahah
fun story :)
Hey Erika. Thanks for commenting. I love that song. I do love Almost Famous. John and Paul are both cool. I hope you'll have a great weekend. Take care. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey Wolfmen. Thanks for letting me know. I'll be sure to check that out. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey MrJeffrey. Thanks for commenting. Great hearing from you. That's really cool. There's always some song from them that I can't listen to quite enough. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey Kira. Thanks for sharing that. lol That is so funny. I had never heard that before. When I was looking for a pic of them to post, I just had to post this one. It's such an iconic image. Take care. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteAh, wonderful! I love "Here Comes The Sun"! I agree with you on George Harrison - he is my favorite too. I love "Something" by him, beautiful lyrics and harmony, the best by far.;))
ReplyDeleteThey had so many great songs that it's hard to pick just one favorite. I do love Revolution. John is my favorite guy in the band.
ReplyDeleteHey Protege. Thanks so much. You've left my favorite comment. Of course, I just had to say that since you have the same favorite song and Beatle. I do love "Something" too.
ReplyDeleteHey Wolf. That is a cool song. I really like it.
ReplyDeleteThe Beatles and their music are timeless, as the current "stars" of music pass into obscurity, the Beatles will remain. It's something Frank,Sammy & Dino have achieved,Elvis will always be remembered and even Michael Jackson will be remembered. I'm not sure my favorite band will be remembered in 40 years (the Ramones) but i hope so.
ReplyDeleteGeorge is my favorite.
Have to admit I've never liked The Beatles, but recognise that for many, they were the ultimate. Good to see you paying tribute. One of my work colleagues saw them live very early in their career, and recalls John Lennon was ill that night and couldn't play the gig.
ReplyDeletelet it be and yesterday still hurt my heart when I listen to them-truly beautiful music xx
ReplyDeleteBeatlemania is back, baby! Love this post, especially Let It Be!
ReplyDeletexoxox,
CC
Great band the Beatles.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite songs of the videos you show here, might be 1)Twist and shout 2)Here comes the sun 3)I want to hold your hand 4)Let it be 5) Hey Jude
And my favorite Beatle is Jhon Lenon
I added you to my blog links! :) thanks!
ReplyDeleteTruly one awesome post. GREAT !!!
ReplyDeleteAs far as I'm concerned, you cannot go wrong the Beatles., from their mop-top years through the psychedelia.
ReplyDeleteSome good stuff here! We just don't have anything like these guys now days and we probably never will again.
ReplyDeleteI find it extremely hard to pick one single Beatle or song so I normally like to pick era ('64-'66). Lately I've been itching to hear Harrison tunes from the last 2 albums b/c he arguably outwrote John! Paul from 68-70 definitely was at his apex when things was getting a bit sticky....
ReplyDeleteOh I DO dig the beatles, George is my favourite. My favourite albums of theirs have got to be abbey road and the white album - awesome!
ReplyDeleteHey Drake. Great comment. I really enjoyed it. That is so true. The Beatles are timeless. They are timeless cool. That never goes out of style. People hundreds of years in the future will still listen to the Beatles as well as the Rat Pack, Elvis, and some others. Glad to see your favorite Beatle is George.
ReplyDeleteHey Steve. Thanks for commenting. I'm actually a bigger fan of the Rolling Stones, but I do like the Beatles. They definitely made a major contribution to pop culture and beyond. That's cool about your friend. That's a shame that John wasn't there though.
ReplyDeleteHey kpeach. Those are both such beautiful songs. I love them.
ReplyDeleteHey Carrie. Thanks. I definitely wanted to do a post on the Fab Four.
Hey Lizzy. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed this post. Cool tunes you picked. John is my bro's favorite Beatle.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cancha. I appreciate that.
ReplyDeleteHey Richard. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Hey Scott. Thanks. I totally agree. What's so cool in that they had such a variety in style and music over such a short span in time. Some bands don't evolve that much in 30 years.
ReplyDeleteHey Mrs. B. Thanks. I totally agree. The Beatles were a one of a kind band. I don't think we'll ever see anybody quite like them again.
ReplyDeleteHey JFK. Thanks for commenting. They had some really great music throughout the years. It's neat to pick a time period and really delve into it. I love the stuff George did. I'm a big fan of his solo career as well.
ReplyDeleteHey Amy. Thanks. Glad to see that George is your favorite. Those were both awesome albums. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI think I too young to have a favorite Beatle, though mom likes Paul the best. Yesterday is my favorite from them.
ReplyDeleteHey Juliet. Thanks for commenting. Great to hear from you. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteAh, I'm a sucker for Yesterday ... the most re-recorded song in history. My favorite beatle used to be Paul (when I was younger, he was cute!), but as I grew older I learned to appreciate and understand John more.
ReplyDeletexoxoxo Have a wonderful weekend Keith!
Hey Veronica. Thanks for commenting. I do love yesterday. That's neat that your favorite Beatle changed over the years. Take care. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe have been rocking out on Beatles Rock Band lately, yes! lol My favorites are 8 Days a Week and I Am the Walrus.
ReplyDeleteHey Maggi. That's cool. Some of my friends have been playing that.
ReplyDeleteAhhh yes, I love Hey Jude and Yesterday and Revolution.... well pretty much everything on this list. I have the Across the Universe soundtrack that I listen to constantly, they do such good renditions of these fabulous songs... however, nothing compares to the Beatles themselves.
ReplyDeleteBeatles are so timeless! Revolution!!! And what a revolution it was! :D
ReplyDeleteBox-of-style
Oh, I love Here Comes The Sun!
ReplyDeleteBut my favourite songs are Strawberry Fields Forever and Hey Jude. The Beatles <3
Great post!!
I have been a beatle fan for many moons, I can't name a favourite song as I have many..My favourite beatle, John followed by George...
ReplyDeleteDeeply awesome post, Keith. The Beatles are my absolute favourite group of all time. Though I'm a child of the 80s, I was fortunate enough to grow up with folks who had a passion for classic rock, thus I was routinely exposed to the Beatles and their amazing music.
ReplyDeleteI like so, so very many Beatles songs, but my absolute favourite is "Let It Be". John takes the cake as my favourite member, though I really do love all four lads! :)
Hope you have a great weekend!
♥ Jessica
Paul McCartney is my favorite Beatle. You have no idea how obssesed I am about the beatles, really no idea. I am one of those freaks :)
ReplyDeleteXOXOXO

ReplyDeleteHey Clare. Thanks. The Beatles had so many classic tunes that it's hard to pick just one.
ReplyDeleteHey Sandra. Thanks. I love Revolution. They definitely started a worldwide revolution.
Hey Nosh. Thanks. Great songs you named. I love them.
Hey Gingey. Thanks. I've been a fan of theirs since I was a kid. They've got so many songs I love. This was just a small selection.
ReplyDeleteHey Jessica. Thanks. I was born in 1970. I remember when John was killed. I think that's when I really realized what an impact this band had on the world. I grew up loving their music. They definitely made an impact on the world of music and beyond that no other band since has been able to replicate.
Hey Libby. Thanks. I'm glad to hear you are such a huge fan of the Beatles. They are very awesome. I'm happy you enjoyed this post.
Hey Wana. Thanks for commenting. Great hearing from you. I've had a wonderful weekend. I hope you are doing well. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey Dapper. Thanks. I love that song. I've had a great weekend. Hope you have too. Cheers!
Hey, Keith. I love Hey Jude. Obviously my favorite beatle sings it. So, of course I love it. :)
ReplyDeleteplease don't hate me, but i cannot stand the beatles. i just hate them. i don't get them at all.
ReplyDeleteand i am pretty sure they couldn't care less, and that i wouldn't do it for them either!
Hey Steph. Thanks. I remember you telling me how much you loved that song. I know you love Sir Paul.
ReplyDeleteHey Droll. No problem at all. I couldn't hate you for something like that. We all have different tastes.
awesome post, i can't even pick a favourite beatles song, there are just way too many good ones to choose from. i love every single one you posted!
ReplyDeleteHey Niki. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the songs I posted. The Beatles do have so many amazing tunes.
ReplyDeletelet it be let it be let it be and yesterday yesterday yesterday - but they are all my favorites!!! so it's a push to pick one - or two - or....
ReplyDeleteneat post, mister!
Hey Gypsy. Thanks for commenting. I appreciate all the comments you've left me. It is hard to pick just one song by the Beatles.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a particular favorite song from the Beatles. I do however, like most of their songs. My dad & uncle love the Beatles.
ReplyDeleteHey Petite. Thanks for commenting. That's cool that your dad and uncle are fans of theirs.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THE BEATLES! LOL, DID I SAY HOW MUCH I LOVE THE BEATLES? LOL
ReplyDeleteHey Autumn. Well, I definitely know you're a fan of the Beatles. lol
ReplyDeleteFunny thing about trying to pick a favorite Beatles song, through the years it keeps changing for me! Currently I'm kinda loving "The Long and Winding Road". Paul is said to have hated the production of it and preferred the original 'unplugged' version. Phil Spector (crazy maniac, but the man knew his music) produced it and is responsible for the lush full orchestration and chorus. With all respect to Sir Paul, I think Spector was right. Think about it: here it is, the last released Beatles album, we in the States had been on an amazing 7 year ride with them. It was like the end of this sweeping epic movie called The Beatles. And for me the fully orchestrated "Long And Winding road plays under the final credits of that movie.
ReplyDeleteI'd be no more successful in trying to pick a favorite member, though I've been fortunate enough to have met both Paul and George. So instead I'll just put in a shout out to Brian Epstein for having had the vision and the drive to help get them where they were going!
Hey Felix. Thanks for your great comment. It was so nice to hear from you. I really enjoyed hearing what you had to say. I liked reading that bit of information. I hope you will visit again soon. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI love The Beatles though I don't listen to them much! Thanks to them the world of music is what it is today!
ReplyDeletexoxo
Hey there. Thanks for commenting. Yeah, the world of music owes them so much.
