I can always remember listening to Christmas music by Elvis Presley at the home of my paternal grandparents when I was growing up. The iconic Christmas tune by Elvis has gotta be Blue Christmas. It's definitely one of my favorite songs to listen to during the holiday season. I hope you enjoy this video of the King performing this song. Plus I've included the covers of some of the Christmas albums by Elvis.
Your Elvis alums are swell! I remember when a couple of those came out, although I'm not old enough to have bought them! Thanks for stopping over at my place and going to the market!
Blue Christmas is on constant repeat in my house during the holdiays - I've even been known to dance to it in the aisles of stores when it comes on during shopping trips!! :)
We are big Elvis fans in my family. My mom met him back in the 60's. Her friend's brother played drums for Elvis during a couple of his California shows. She and her friend got to meet him after a show.
I love the Christmas albums you posted. My favorite is the second one. Very cool! Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
I used to have all of those on cassette tape. Now I don't even know where those tapes are. Even though Elvis died a tiny bit less then a year after I was born, I really love his singing.
I love Elvis Christmas albums!! ESPECIALLY Blue Christmas!
Random side note but whenever I see photos of Elvis when he was younger, I am always shocked by how much he looks like a woman... is that weird? He has such a feminine face lol
Ah! Elvis - I have a lot of very, very special memories of him. Growing up watching his films on midday TV - a real treat for me and my neighbour - and being in Hawaii when he passed - everyone was in utter shock. An incredible man - thank you for the clips here - I'm very much looking forward to watching them!
Keith, I will be visiting family for the next couple of weeks. So I would like to take this time to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. PEACE! ~ Richard.
