Oguchi Onyewu Is Ready For The World Cup

How many fans of soccer and the World Cup do we have here? I'm definitely glued to my television. I was totally psyched to watch the USA vs. England match on Saturday. With the 2010 World Cup now under way, I thought I would share these pictures of American soccer player Oguchi Onyewu with you. Onyewu plays for Milan and the USA national team. These photos (by Ben Watts) are featured in the June issue of GQ. I hope you like them.

  4. USA did quite well against an England team that shockingly lacked any kind of spark. That being said, I think that Spain is going to win it. What a killer team they have.

  7. Oguchi's a darn good player, besides working it very well in these photos!
Despite the Draw score emotions running high, I think USA did really well for their first go, keeping Rooney under strict surveillance...

  8. Wow, what a physique.;) I am not a football fan nor much into sports, but the nation of Denmark is. They too sit glued to the TV; even in the lab we have a 50 inch screen that is on and will be on for every match for the next month.;) Not much work will be done.;)
    Enjoy it!
    xoxo

  13. Thank you so much! I enjoyed myself greatly at camp! :] And I absolutely ADORE this spread! The style is amazing! Just what I like! Thank you for sharing! It also inspires me right now..as I am having a difficult situation with this boy I am talking to. I like him but I just dont feel like he is for me. I have so many other things I need to focus on and do right now. I dont need a boyfriend. He is such a great guy and I dont want to hurt him..but..hes not for me. And the style in this spread inspires me to hold out for something I know I will truly like...not settle!! :] TFS!

  20. I've been glued to the World Cup, as always.

Great photos. I watch quite a bit of Serie A, so I'm definitely familiar with Onyewu, although I support Roma over Milan.

I'm hoping Italy can repeat as Champions!
