John Cho Is Ready For His Close-Up

cho

John Cho has been mostly known for his roles in the American Pie and Harold & Kumar comedy franchises until recently. This past year he played the role of Mr. Sulu in the blockbuster reboot of Star Trek. He was also one of the stars of the recently canned television series FlashForward. While I love martial arts movies, it is great to see an actor of Asian heritage play other roles. These photos (by Nathaniel Goldberg) come from GQ. Besides loving the suits that John Cho is wearing, I'm a big fan of the sets used for this photo shoot.

P.S. I wanted to thank all of those who offered such great tips about three column templates. I really appreciate it. I'm going to be checking all of those out. I'll be doing some experimenting to see if I can possibly find something I'd like to do here at my blog. I have been wanting to revamp my blog some if I can.

I also wanted to talk about something. I work for a cleaning service. I found out around six weeks ago that my boss lost the contract at the state office that I clean. This is where most of my hours are at. I had actually been cleaning this building since before this man took over. I had worked for the previous holder of the contract. This man here kept us on when he got the contract.

I've been really stressed out the last six weeks wondering who had gotten the contract. We heard a lot of rumors. We finally found out who got it. I do know the man. I've always had good dealings with him. I just don't know yet whether he plans to keep me and my co-worker on or not. If he does, I also don't know if he will cut our pay and hours.

I definitely don't want to lose this job. I really depend on it. Besides this particular place I clean, I clean a bank for one hour a night. I sure can't live off of one hour a night. I need more hours. I can't afford to lose this cleaning job at the state office. I'm also hoping if he keeps us on that he won't cut our hours or pay. It's been a struggle as it is. It would be even harder on me then. With the economy being in the dumps, it's hard to find other work around here. I know people who have been out of work for a year or more now. There just aren't jobs around. I hate to think of having to try to find something.

I don't often get personal at the blog. I did want to share what's going on in my life with my friends here. I hope you will keep me in your thoughts and/or prayers. I really would appreciate it so much. Thanks. God bless you.

  3. He sure looks great in all these suits. My favorite picture is the one with the briefcase. I really hope everything will work out for you, it's definitely not easy to get a job these days. Even in Europe things are pretty tough, especially for a fresh graduate like me. But, we can't give up hope now. All the best Keith.

  14. Hang in there and think positive thoughts about the situation...tell yourself and *believe* that you're keeping the job and that you have job security. I wouldn't worry about something that hasn't happened yet. I'll think positive thoughts for you as well. You already one thing going for you, and that's that you know the owner of the new contract and he likes you. Hope you'll let us know how it works out.

And...cannot say I knew who John Cho was, but I'm loving the clothes and the whole Mad Men atmosphere on this photo shoot. Thanks for sharing them!

  28. I really hope everything works out for you with your job! Try to stay positive and even if things don't go the way you want them to, hold your head high and press on. Just don't give up or you'll never win the battle.

I wish John Cho had looked like this in Harold and Kumar because it never struck me that he's actually pretty hot when I was watching that movie. I can definitely see it in this editorial though. Something about a suit always makes a man look infinitely better...

If there is ONE type of suit I will ALWAYS like...it's a double-breasted one.
    Now THAT says "CLASS".
