Joseph Gordon-Levitt Had A Blockbuster Summer
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has certainly grown up. He was one of the stars of the television comedy 3rd Rock from the Sun back in his teens. He shed that image with critically acclaimed roles in films such as Mysterious Skin and Brick. This summer he starred in the blockbuster film Inception. These photos (by Norman Jean Roy) are from the August issue of Details. Let me know what think of them.
P.S. I wanted to keep you guys updated with what's going on in my life. I went yesterday to my local community college. I am going back to school this upcoming spring semester. I will be a returning student since I went to this particular school years ago. Quite a few of the courses I once took still count and will transfer so I won't have to retake them. I do have to take the math placement test. I'm not looking forward to that. I was never good in math at all. I hate to think of how much I've forgotten now. I'm taking it in a couple of weeks. The first of November is early registration for the next semester. I did quality for financial aid so my tuition and books will be covered. I'm both scared and excited. I never thought I would be going back to college again. I do know that I've always regretted that I never finished before. I've never been able to get that great of jobs due to only having a high school diploma. I know that I need to further my education, especially with the current economic climate in this country. It's the best thing I do. I do feel weird going back at age 40. I know that many of the students are young enough to be my children. I've got the will and drive to make it work. It has to work. There aren't a lot of options otherwise. I do ask that you would continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate it. Thanks.
I'm glad Joe is getting the recognition he deserves. He's so great as an actor..and modeling too! Love him! Great photos.
ReplyDeleteAll the best on returning to college.
Love these pics!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on going back to school!

Hey, Tommy. I used to love watching this show when I was a kid. I am so glad things are working out for you at college and good luck at the math exam, I was never good at math either but I've managed and so will you.

Ooh, I LOVE Joseph Gordon-Levitt! He is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI think you will do wonderful going back to school, Keith. Half the battle is simply making the decision to do so - which you have already done. I wish you the best of luck!! :)
Going back to school is a great idea. I went back to school in my 30s to get my MBA and I loved it. I wish you the best of luck...and don't forget your friends back in the blogosphere!
ReplyDeleteThat first image with the tree is absolutely stunning! His swaying motion plays perfectly off of the whimsical branches of the tree. Great photoshoot - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAs always, wishing you the very best of luck! I can see why you would feel intimidated, but if anything it will be just as intimidating for them, so try not to worry yourself sick!
It's great to see how his career has taken off!
ReplyDeleteI think you're making the right decision. I went to college directly from high school, but I recall there were quite a few people in their 40s (and older) in many of my classes. I got my MBA in my late 20s and early 30s and there seemed to be a mixture of people both older and younger.
You'll fit in just fine. Good luck. ...and good luck with the math. I work in finance and those exams still seem difficult!
Amazing pictures
ReplyDeleteCongrats on going back to schook Keith!! You are on the right track for sure doll <3
ReplyDeleteGood luck on school and with your math exam!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of Joseph - he was excellent in Inception.;)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with going back to school, I am very impressed and I know you will do well. I know lots of people who went back to school being your age, even older. My father went back studying age 44.;)

I waited EIGHT years before going to a business college after high school...had a 4.0 AVERAGE!

Hey Keith!!!! First of all - congratulations for going back to college. i really and truly believe as well that when changes in life come your way, you should embrace that feeling of being scared, because if you weren't scared - then it wouldn't be a challenge right?! Thumbs up on your decision and i'll be thinking of you.
ReplyDeletesecond i love your post and will be re-posting it on my blog since i have been in love with this guy since seeing 500 days of summer. will give you the credit!

that's the great thing about college--it doesn't matter how old you are--all that matters is that you're willing to learn something new. congrats to you for going back!
ReplyDeleteand JGL is great. he's been having a great past 2 years, especially with 500 days of summer and inception.

He is absolutely gorgeous, and I adore this editorial!
ReplyDeleteI'm really pleased to hear that you're heading back to school - it seems like everything is really falling into place for you, Keith! And seriously, don't worry about being almost 40 and going back to school - no one will think anything of it! At my school we had a lot of people going back to pursue a degree, and it was actually really cool to have their input, where they had more experience than I did! I'll be thinking of you & praying that the math placement exam goes well!
JGL is such a great actor .. I'm glad he stuck around and made it through the teenage acting years, not many do!
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on going back to school! Sometimes as hard as it is to see, things happen for a reason. You might never have been pushed to go back to school if you weren't laid off, and you will have a much better quality of life with more education!
And as for being 40? That's nothing! Where I work ppl are always going back, regardless of age; there are 50 year olds getting their MBAs and what not. Currently I'm getting more education for the exact same reason as you. It will definitely be worth it, education is such a good investment.
Keep your head up!!
wow all those garments are so amazing and fabulous I don't come to your blog as often as I would like, but whenever I do I see some really amazing things keep up the good work! =)louis vuitton boulogne
