This is Dean Martin and some other fellas (I'd let you see who they are) singing Football Song on Bob Hope's Pink Panther Thanksgiving Gala in 1982. I thought this was really cool. I hope you enjoy it. I want to wish Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Americans. I hope you will have a wonderful time however you celebrate it. I'm going to be taking a break from this blog until next Monday (which is December 1st). I want to spend some time with my family and friends during this holiday time. I hope you'll return on Monday to see what I'm posting next. Thanks. Have a great time until I see you again. Cheers!

Dean Martin & His Pallies Plan A Vegas Heist in Ocean's 11
Here's a clip from the Rat Pack heist flick Ocean's Eleven. This scene is when the pallies are discussing their plan to steal from five Vegas casinos at the stroke of midnight on New Year's. I hope you enjoy it. I really love this movie. It was so cool seeing all the Rat Packers together. Cheers!
P.S. This is not Rat Pack related at all, but I wanted to make a mention of my latest contribution to Celluloid Slammer. I posted the movie trailer for Foxy Brown. The film is a blaxploitation classic, plus it stars the sexy and tough Pam Grier. I hope you'll check out my latest post there. Please feel free to leave comments as well. Thanks.

Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra & Bing Crosby On The Radio
Here's a cool shot of Dean Martin with his pallies Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. These three look like they are having a great time on the radio.
P.S. My pallie Dave over at his wonderful blog Planet Mondo has a really cool post you should check out. This week's edition of his regular feature Funky Friday is dubbed Cocktail Shakers. As the 60's were ending and the 70's were beginning, many of the singers who did lounge and cocktail music wanted to try to stay relevant. They covered popular songs of the day to try to be cool and hip for a new crowd. I think the results can be quite enjoyable. For example, I really dig hearing Peggy Lee cover Everyday People. It's neat to hear Vegas era singers do their own takes on the socially conscious music of the Vietnam era. I hope you'll check out this blog post and leave some comments for Dave there. Thanks. Cheers!

Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis: So Happy Together
This comes courtesy of my pallie Pinupgirl.
Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis definitely look happy in this picture. These two did make quite the comedy team together. They certainly had great chemistry. They worked well off of each other. Martin and Lewis ruled the radio, television, movies, nightclubs, etc. for a decade. They were on top of the world. They still today rank as one of the great comedy duos of all time. They are true legends that should always be remembered. I love how in this picture Jerry is looking up at Dino. You really get the feeling that Jerry admired Dino a lot. We know that Jerry needed Dino in his life more than Dino needed him. He wanted more and more of Dino. He was even jealous of Jeanne Martin. You can't really blame him though because I'm sure all of us would love to spend time with Dean Martin. I think Dino finally got tired of it all. He was ready to move on from the pressure that Jerry tried to force on him. He never looked back after that. Dean Martin truly shined as a solo entertainer, reaching greater heights than he ever did when he was with Jerry Lewis. He showed the world what it meant to be the King of Cool. Cheers!

Dean Martin Is Truly The King Of Cool
This comes courtesy of my pallie Steve.
I hope you liked it. Cheers!
P.S. I just posted a tribute video to Sharon Tate over at Celluloid Slammer. Since she was a co-star of Dean Martin, I thought I would mention it here. I hope you'll check it out and leave me some comments there. Thanks.

Robbie Williams Sings My Way
Here is Robbie Williams doing his version of My Way at the Royal Albert Hall. I think he does a pretty good job with it, but he's still no Frank Sinatra. That's the man who owns this song. Let me know what you think. Cheers!

Favorite Album Covers: Dean Martin - Sittin' On Top Of The World
It's time for another one of my favorite Dean Martin album covers. This one is Sittin' on Top of the World. I really love this image of Dino. He's looking tan and handsome. He's also dressed more casual in a nice shirt and sweater. I dig his clothes. He looks really content with his place in the world. We know that Dino was definitely sittin' on top of the world. He was after all the King of Cool. It doesn't get any better than that. Cheers!

Dean Martin's Pad In Palm Springs
Last week we had some cold and rainy days here. It was quite dreary weather. It's times like this when I'd really love to be hanging out at a pad like this one. Just imagine livin' it up with Dean Martin and his pallies at his cool digs in Palm Springs. That would be a great way to spend a weekend. Cheers!
P.S. I was invited to be a contributor at the blog Celluloid Slammer. I was very thrilled and honored to be asked. I've just put my up first post on this blog. It's one of my favorite scenes from the Matt Helm spy flick The Silencers (click on the movie title to be carried to my post). It's when Dean Martin first meets Stella Stevens. That's an introduction he'll never forgot. I plan to probably post a video clip once or twice a week there. I hope you'll come back here and there to see what else I might have posted on this blog. I definitely hope you'll check out my first post there. Please feel free to leave me some comments on my first blog post. Thanks. I appreciate it. Cheers!

Dean Martin & Ann-Margret Discuss Working Out
I really love this video clip. It's another wonderful clip of Dean Martin and Ann-Margret. They are discussing how Ann-Margret keeps her stunning body in such incredible shape. This clip is quite hilarious. These two are so great together. They have some fantastic chemistry. I hope you enjoy it too.

Dean Martin Is Bummin' Around
My pallie DMP recently posted this video at his ilovedinomartin blog. I thought I would post it here as well. I really love this Bummin' Around tune. There are times I would love to live my life this way. I dream of picking up my few belongings and hitting the road. I wonder what sort of adventures I would have.
