I've been receiving some wonderful pictures from Timmy by email. I decided it was time I started sharing some of them with my pallies here. These photos come from the set of Rio Bravo. The 1959 western starring John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, etc. is one of my all-time favorite westerns. I hope you enjoy these pics.
Thanks so much to Timmy for all the amazing pictures he's sent to me. I really appreciate it. I will definitely be posting more of the others I've been sent by him in the near future.
I'm not really a fan of westerns. My husband is though. These are some nice photos. I look forward to what else you post.
ReplyDeleteHey Phoebe. I understand where you're coming from. My sis hates westerns. Glad you still like the pics.
ReplyDeleteHey pallie Keith, likes thanks so much for sharin' these wonderful pixs of our Dino and others..just one Dinoquestion, wonderin' how cans you say that "Rio" is one of your fav westerns...it is the greatest western of all time and probably our Dino's finest performance in a drama...
ReplyDeleteHey pallie DMP. Thanks for the comments. Glad to hear from you. I'm happy that you enjoyed these pictures. I thought they were really cool. Why did I not guess you would take issue with my words? lol Rio Bravo is my favorite Dean Martin western. It's definitely one of my top westerns of all time. It's hard for me to pick my favorite overall western. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great movie! Every time Dean starts singing his song with Ricky, my wife swoons. She always points out how much better sounding Dean is than Ricky.
ReplyDeleteAlso, did you see my album cover of Dean "Tex" Martin at my site?

ReplyDeleteGood job, Buck! I don't know if you ever heard the story about Ricky's birthday during filming of "Rio", Both The Duke & Dino had him come out into the street on the set (Old Tucson), & they presented Ricky with a huge bag full of horse manure! What a gas...
ReplyDeleteHere's the link for the Dean Marin country album cover. Sorry, no music files.
