Dean Martin is chatting with his orchestra during a break. The year is 1958 and the place is Las Vegas. I'm not sure if this is a recording session or a rehearsal for his act. I would love to have been one of the guys there. It would be cool to have been able to talk with Dino. I wonder what sorts of things were on his mind. He always seemed like he would be a fun guy to work with.
Yeah, he must have been amazing to work with... happy belated birthday dear Dean!xo
ReplyDeletenice odd suit, love d cut it gives him a slimmeer midriff
ReplyDeleteI'll bet Dean made his sessions a lot of fun. Knowing his sense of humor and casual style, it would have been a pleasure to work with him!
ReplyDeleteHang in there Keith. I agree, it's tough all around the world. But like you, I'm just happy to be working :-)
Thanks Gabbi. I bet he was really cool to work with. I would have loved that.
ReplyDeleteHey Terence. Thanks. I really like it too. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey Veronica. Thanks. I agree. I think he would have been much funner to work with than Sinatra. It just seems that he would have made work much fun.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be one of them, but I can't play a lick.
ReplyDeleteGranted it was a photo (and not say the perspective a fly on the wall might have when the camera wasn't firing away), but I think it really looks like the orchestra is having a terrific time. I'd be all smiles too if I had the chance to work with Deano! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your lovely comments on my blog, Keith. I hope you have a fantastic day!

Thanks Phoebe. I played a little piano and guitar when I was younger, but that's been ages.

ReplyDeleteThanks Jim. It does look like they are having a good time. That's my kind of work.
ReplyDeleteAnd musicians typically like a drink or two, so I'm there would have been some quality boozing done between takes...
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Here's a photo I thought you could use.
