Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis had their very own comic book. It was called The Adventures of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. It was published from 1952 to 1957. There were 40 issues of it. Here are the covers for the first five of those issues. I plan to post more in the future. The comic switched names to The Adventures of Jerry Lewis after the split of this comedy duo. That comic would continue on for issues #41 to #124.
COOOOOLLLL!!!!! I have always wanted to be featured in a comic book! A super hero one... i think my super hero "talent" (if you will) would be "the kiss of death". I could stun my victims with my lips. Lol, I only say this because I am addicted to chapstick... so it is fitting.
ReplyDeleteOkay this is the most random comment ever, but it's kind of related to your marvelous post.
Cheers!
Wild! I've never seen any of these before.
ReplyDeleteHey Clare. Thanks. Glad you liked these. I'm not sure what my super hero power would be. I do like yours. That would be a good one. My sister loves chapstick herself. Once again glad you liked this post. Have a great Friday and weekend. Cheers!

ReplyDeleteHey pallie, gotta watch that I don't comment to much and all my detachment get gone, but gotta say that these are some very cool covers of the Dinocomics....you have found some pristine pixs of 'em....can't figure out why they continues with comics of the jer when they coulda done so much more with our Dino...coulda been some real adult comics for Dinosure...thanks for findin' and sharin' such Dinofun with us...hopes one day to have a set of these Dinotreasures for my very Dino-own...given any more thought in joinin' me in my Dinosearch for detachment the Dinoway?
ReplyDeleteThanks Carrie. Glad you liked them. Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteThanks Terence and Dave. Glad you guys enjoyed these. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey pallie DMP. Thanks. Glad you liked these. I figured you would. I don't know why they didn't continue with a Dino comic over a Jerry one. Pallie, I respect what you are doing with wanting to be detached. That's not for me. I spent too many years trying to be detached. I became a hermit. That's not the life for me. These blogs, etc. have helped opened me up. They are one of the best things going in my life. I respect your decision, but it's not for me. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteHey pallie, and I respect what is best for you at this time...glad the bloggin' is givin' you what you need and want...thanks for the Dinopix...will be puttin' together your Dinointerview over at ilovedinomartin....may take a bit of time as I keep tryin' to detach...
ReplyDeleteHey pallie DMP. Thanks. This is one area of my life that I really dig. There are other areas that need some work, but I've very happy with this side of things. I look forward to seeing that interview when you get it done. Cheers!
ReplyDeletehey... nice blog, i like your blog :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks. I appreciate that. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHey pallie, gotta tell you I had the most amazin' experience durin' the night... dream-like....I was sorta covered by leaves and the noise of the air conditioner in my pad and the leaves were keepin' me so calm and still....I had such a groovy feelin' of bein' likes totally totally detached...certainly think it was a gift from our Dino...helpin' me to know and feel what it is like to let the world go by without a care....
ReplyDeleteHey pallie DMP. That sounds great. I really mean that. Thanks for sharing your dream here. I do wish you the best with this path. Take care. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThese comics are too adorable!
ReplyDeletebisous,
la C.
Thanks La C. Glad you liked them. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI just love how Dean still manages to look suave even as a comic book character! Stellar finds, Keith! I collected comics growing up, but was decades too late for these gems, so it's really fun to see them now.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having an awesome weekend!
♥ Jessica
Hey Jessica. Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed these. Dino looks cool even in animated form. I wish I had these. I had a lot of other comics as a kid, but these are several decades before my time.
