Say cheese for Sammy!
This photo comes courtesy of my good pallie Mia.
This is a video about Sammy's love of photography. I thought it was really fascinating to see how passionate he was about taking photos. I hope you'll check it out.
P.S. I've been considering doing a little revamping of my blog . I did change the colors used on my blog as well as my header. I'm fooling around until I'm satisfied with the results. What do you think right now of the changes?
Does anyone here, with a blog on Blogger, use a template other than the ones Blogger has for us? I've seen templates on various websites that you can use for Blogger. I wasn't sure how well they worked on Blogger. I didn't want to mess up my blog. Any suggestions on sites with good templates if I did want to change mine? Also I might want to change up my header? What site did you use to help you with your header? Thanks for any advice at all you can offer on revamping a blog. I appreciate it.
Keith: Great post! What a mammoth talent was Sammy. Layers upon layers of talent. -- Mykal
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I have no idea if this will work on blogger...
ReplyDeleteSammy was always a very enigmatic character. But his talent was undeniable.
ReplyDeleteHey Mykal. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Sammy was an all around great entertainer.
ReplyDeleteHey Cathy. Thanks. I had someone at my other blog mention to me a site that works with blogger. I've seen a few sites with blogger templates. I have yet to try anything out.
ReplyDeleteHey Max. So true. I think there was so much we'll never know about Sammy. He was definitely incredibly talented.
ReplyDeleteOh Sammy is gorge...just gorge!
ReplyDeleteXoXo
Thanks Janet. Glad you like him.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. It was also interesting to watch that interview. Sammy's a man of many talents.
ReplyDeleteThanks Phoebe. I'm glad you liked the photo and video. I thought both were cool to check out.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photo!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look and banner, K!

Thanks Carrie. I appreciate that. I've been tinkering with it this morning, but personally I like it. Hope everybody else does. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThe photo book was definitely interesting, but after reading Deconstructing Sammy, I look at Burt Boyar in a different light. He seemed to be selective and a bit overprotective in deciding what the public read about Sammy when they collaborated on Sammy's autobiographies.
ReplyDeleteHey FilmFather. Thanks for the info. I don't have any of those books. I appreciate your insights from them. Have a great day. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWhatever you do, back up your current template before you make any drastic changes!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robert. I'll keep that in mind. I'm thinking that I'm just going to go ahead and keep this template I've got. I've spiced things up some here today.
ReplyDeletelove vintage Cameras :o]
ReplyDeletehe is one cool cat!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your header Keith.
ReplyDeleteI do know that you can get into the google template and alter all the settings - that is why so many blogs have larger pictures and different effects etc but I am too nervous because I would probably loose the lot! So far I have only experimented with a broader colour palette. Good luck with whatever you do, xv.
I'll bet he had some amazing scrapbooks full of wild photos. Very cool. Say cheese...
ReplyDeleteFabulous new layout; and amazing photo! :)
ReplyDeleteHey, Keith! I love the new header pic of "the lounge". Very fitting!
ReplyDeleteI've never been able to figure out how to use a custom template for my blog. So instead, I just periodically change the color scheme and about once a week I change the top header picture to change things up. Sorry I'm not more help!
First: What a great photo
ReplyDeleteSecond: As soon as I got to your blog today I was like "Oh my word! I LOVE this new look!"
Three: I am sorry, but I can't be much help on the templates front. I blog on Wordpress so I am not sure how to use blogger.
Nevertheless, what you have now looks quite divine!
Cheers
Thanks Terence and Savvy. Glad you liked the photo.
ReplyDeleteHey Vicki. Thanks. Glad you like it. This is the first new header I've used. I've had the other one since I started my blog. I did change up the colors. I'm a little nervous about changing the template. I've heard some horror stories about that. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteHey Scott. Thanks. Yeah, I bet he did have so many amazing photos that he had taken. I'd love to see more of them.
ReplyDeleteHey Erika. Thanks. I'm glad you like it. I was hoping that people would like the new look.
ReplyDeleteHey Kim. Thanks. Glad you like it. I wanted a new header that still fit the idea of the Dino Lounge. I'm a little nervous about the whole template thing now. I've heard some horror stories. I decided to change up the colors some. A new header and the color change spiced things up some.
ReplyDeleteHey Clare. Thanks so much. I'm glad you like the new look. I had wanted a change. I've had it like this for a year now. I wanted to spice things up. I'm not sure about doing the template now. At least I changed up the header and the colors. I'm thrilled you like it. Cheers!
