Dean Martin & Sammy Davis Jr. At The Friars Club

I love this picture of Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. with boxing champ Sugar Ray Leonard. This photo was taken in 1984. I'm not sure who the other guy in the picture is. Any ideas? The fellas were at the Friars Club in New York City. I hope everybody will have a fantastic weekend. Cheers!

  8. I don't know who the other guy is either. Don't you wish you could google a face? Actually, we probably will be able to do that before too long.

  11. Hey Gingey. Oh yeah. Dino did all sorts of things in his youth, such as card sharking, boxing, you name it. I'm sure there are so many stories.

  15. Don't you just love besides them obviously looking aged in this photo, in contrast to your normal ones, if you base it on their wardrobe alone, you wouldn't dare to think it was 80's. I love this.....

  26. Hey Carrie. Thanks for commenting. I've got some other photos around this same event. They were all mostly done in black & white. It's got to be in the 80's anyway because they are looking much older. Sammy would be dead in like 6 years from this photo.

  36. Fantastic picture! I wouldn't have pegged it as being from the 80s, had you not said so. The power of a classic tux and B&W photography, eh? :)

Wishing you a stellar weekend, too, Keith!

  39. Hey Jessica. Thanks. Glad you liked it. The big thing that gives it away as the 80's is looking at both Dino and Sammy. They both are showing their age. Plus Sammy would die at the start of the 90's.
