Many of my favorite male stars are those of the 1960's and 1970's. These men oozed masculine coolness. Here are examples of some of the men that I admire the most from that era. You might not know all of them. I'm hoping then that this post will be a springboard for you to discover some celebs of the past. Who do you like amongst these men? If there is somebody you would like to know more about, please let me know. I'll try to fill you in about that particular man.
Helmut Berger & Fabio Testi:
George Lazenby:
Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. & Frank Sinatra:
Fred Williamson:
Jim Brown:
Franco Nero:
Henry Silva:
James Coburn:
Fabulous post, Keith!
ReplyDeleteAlso quite informative... I am ashamed to say I had never heard of some of these dapper gents before!

Keith:
ReplyDeleteThat is a VERY good list...
I also liked Oskar Werner, Omar Sharif, Steve McQueen, and Lee Marvin.
(to name but a handful)
Stay cool.
They are so polished and dapper!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post. I slightly remember Helmut Berger. Fred Williamson was very suave. I also remember Franco Nero. I remember enjoying the "Our Man Flint" series with James Coburn. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, my friend.
It's true, I don't know about all these men listed here, but thanks to you I have the opportunity to find out who they were. From these pictures, Franco Nero is the one that caught my eye. I did a little search about him and his love life seems so interesting. Getting married to his first love and the mother of his child after so many years, impressive.
ReplyDeleteAside from the Rat Pack, I have no clue who any of these men are. But their style is phenom!! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I'm going to make it a point to check some of these guys out!
ReplyDeleteSo many of these I dunno..but James Coburn tops it for me. And to think that would be Irishman is actually from Nebraska. My home state. I recently watched him in "duck, you sucker" and it was awesome. He had so much style on that motorcycle and those hats. I can't think of anyone better who can wear hats other than Gaspard Uillel (sorry I can't spell the French guy's last name) from the pre-sequel of Hannibal Lector. Forget the gore, lets just see what Gaspard's wearing.
ReplyDeleteJim Brown is awesome too.
Very classy as tennis players ;)
