I wanted to share these recent photos (by Norman Jean Roy) of Zac Efron from the August issue of Details. Zac's been known as a young heartthrob starring in such movies as the High School Musical franchise, Hairspray & 17 Again. He's now been trying to cast off that image to build a more long lasting career in Hollywood. Last year he starred in the film Me and Orson Welles. He recently starred in the film Charlie St. Cloud. This photo shoot is a little different from the usual ones I post. I'm usually posting pictures of guys dressed up. What do you think of these photos?
P.S. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate it. This has definitely been a difficult time in my life. I've been so stressed out. I'm really nervous about the future. I'm not quite sure yet what I'm going to do. I am putting in some job applications. I'm also seeking out some short term work even if I can't find anything more substantial. I'm really considering going back to college. One of the biggest regrets of my life is that I never finished college. I know that's been the main reason in my life why I've gone from one dead end job to another. It's time for a change in my life. I'm almost 40 years old. I can't keep on going on like this. I'm seriously considering going back to college to further my education. I believe that's the best thing for me to do. I'm talking with my family, friends, church, etc. about my studies as well as trying to find some work. Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers. It means so much to me. Thanks. You know, it's awkward trying to escape the warm safe Uterus of the Disney corporation. Shia LeBoeuf, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus.... They've all got something to prove in their chosen fields. Britney made it (careerwise that is). Shia seems to be doing pretty well. Here's hoping Zac makes it, too!

Going back to college seems like a very good idea, you might enjoy this experience. I always say there's a positive thing in every bad experience. Good luck, I hope you will succeed in everything you set your mind to.

I'm probably one of the few that doesn't think that Zac Efron is super dreamy/wonderful, but I do think that this editorial is gorgeous :)

It seems that child stars sometimes need to go away from the film spotlight (do stage or something) then come back to film looking like an adult, maybe different haircut.
ReplyDeleteIt's risky to go out of the public's mind, though, because you might not be asked to return (at least not as a film star).
Although Justin Timberlake made the transition to adulthood while in the spotlight, you'll notice he sports a different haircut than he did as a kid. This helps the audience to view him as a different, yet familiar, person.
It's all about the locks. Sort of.
