From Contact Music:
Moviemaker Brett Ratner is set to reteam with RUSH HOUR star CHRIS TUCKER to take the story of Frank Sinatra's valet to the big screen. Ratner will direct and produce the film adaptation of George Jacobs' memoir Mr. S: My Life With Frank Sinatra, according to Internet reports. Tucker is slated to play Jacobs, who revealed details about Sinatra's romances with Marilyn Monroe and pin-up Jeanne Carmen in his expose. According to the valet, who became a Sinatra confidante during the crooner's Rat Pack years, the late singer was so grateful for his valet's services he set him up with an apartment in the same secret Hollywood building his boss used as a safehouse for himself and his girlfriends. This should be rather interesting. I've never read this particular book. Has anyone else read it before? I can't really say if Chris Tucker is right for this part or not. I don't really know anything about this George Jacobs. I do wonder who they will cast as Frank Sinatra. I'm also curious if any of the other Rat Packers will feature into this film or not. There does seem to be rumors of several different Rat Pack biopics out there. Here's hoping that some of them will actually get made.

Now this will be cool. I had no idea of story about the valet. I agree it would be nice to get a GOOD rat pack movie out there. And that they get good people to play the guys. Thanks for letting us know about this! xoxoSue
Hey Sue. Today was the first I had ever heard of this book. I'm going to have to get a copy of it. I would love to see a really good Rat Pack movie. Hopefully they would cast the parts right. Your welcome. Thanks for the comments.
hey pallie keith, interestin' piece of news you've shared...still wonderin' what has happened to the proposed Dinobios based on Nick Tosches' stellar Dinotome and Dino's girlpallie Deana's Dinobook...
I wish Scorsese could get his Dino project goin.
DMP: I thought it was pretty interesting. I wonder if Dino will be in this movie any at all. I do wonder whatever happened to the biopics based on Nick and Deana's tomes. I hope they see the light of day.
Jeremy: I know what you mean. I do too. It will great to see some Rat Pack biopics out there.
Sounds fascinating, and a real must-see item. Congrats on your blog. It looks and reads great.
Hey Steve. Thanks so much. I'm glad you like it. I hope you will continue to pay it a visit. I plan to update it as regularly as possible. I love hearing comments from people.
I guess this will be a comedy with Tucker in the role. I was not a fan of George Jacobs books. He backstabbed Frank Sinatra for money in my opinion.
Tonygirl: Thanks for the comment. You're the first person I've heard from that has read this book. That's a shame that he backstabbed Sinatra in the book. So many people want to take cheap shots at Sinatra. I'm figuring that the movie will be more of a comedy.
