Shia LaBeouf Takes On Wall Street

shia-gq

Shia LaBeouf appeared on the cover and posed for an editorial in a recent issue of
GQ. Since I was on my blogging hiatus at the time, I didn't get a chance to do a post on these photos. I'm sure many of you have probably seen these by now, but I still wanted to post them here in case you hadn't.

He's definitely had quite the career the last few years. I'll always remember first seeing him on the Disney show Even Stevens. He's certainly grown up since then. His film credits include Disturbia, the two Transformers movies, Eagle Eye & Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Shia will next be seen in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, where he gets a chance to test his acting chops opposite Oscar winner Michael Douglas. His styling choices have to be top notch on and off the screen. I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of Shia, but I really love the photos. I think his clothes have sort of an Italian flair to them. What do you think of these pictures? Personally my favorite is the second one.

Here is the trailer for the sequel to Wall Street. I loved the original film from back in 1987. That movie won Michael Douglas an Oscar for his incredible performance as Gordon Gekko. I'm really hoping this new movie will be on par with that one.

Sammy Davis Jr. Oozes So Much Cool

sammy-gq-sept1967

A cover of a magazine is usually what attracts me to a particular issue. When I'm in the supermarket checkout, I might buy a magazine based on who or what is on the cover. Sometimes the contents are good and sometimes they aren't. I'm usually still satisfied with my purchase if I'm a big fan of the cover. I really love seeing vintage magazine covers. They really knew how to make an amazing cover back then. They did so much well in those days. I could spend so much time checking out classic covers online. I so totally am in awe of this GQ cover. I'm a huge Sammy Davis Jr. fan. He's one of the coolest cats of all time. The image of Sammy on this cover oozes so much coolness. I wish I just had an inch of his coolness. I hope you like it too.

P.S. Check out my latest post at Celluloid Slammer. It's a clip of Sammy Davis Jr. singing Mr. Bojangles. It's a different clip than the one I posted up here in the past. Plus you gotta see what Sammy is wearing. I hope you will check out my post and leave some comments there. Thanks.

Funny & Sexy Magazines I Think Dean Martin Would Have Enjoyed

These are definitely the kind of magazines that I could imagine Dean Martin having a look at.

Those two magazines covers are courtesy of my pallie Mag. The rest I found on my own.

P.S. Many of you already know about my other blog. For those that don't, it's called Sugar & Spice. It's my tribute devoted to the beautiful women, both famous and non-famous, of the swinging 60's and the groovy 70's. I hope you'll check it out. Please feel free to leave comments there. I love hearing from people. Thanks. Cheers!

Jackie Gleason On Cosmo

I absolutely love this Cosmopolitan magazine cover featuring Jackie Gleason. I'm a big fan of the legendary entertainer. I remember that I watched reruns of The Jackie Gleason Show when I was a kid. That variety show was actually one of the things that helped get me interested in the things that I love to this day. I've watched Jackie in everything from The Hustler to the Smokey and the Bandit trilogy to The Toy. Jackie was a good pallie of the Rat Pack, especially with Frank Sinatra. I hope you like this cover too. The look on Jackie's face is priceless.

Dean Martin - Christmas 1967 Issue Of Look Magazine

I've never come across this issue, but this is the December 26, 1967 issue of Look magazine. It's the Christmas issue for the year. It features Dean Martin on the cover. It says he talks about the Mafia, women, his drinking, Sinatra & Bobby Kennedy. I'm sure it was a really cool article. I love the pictures of Dino up here. Cheers!

P.S. Happy Birthday to Frank Sinatra! I definitely had to make sure I mentioned that. I poured myself a drink and listened to some Frankie tunes. There's nobody quite like the Chairman of the Board. He's a true legend that I love and admire greatly. I'm sure he's celebrating his birthday with his pallies at that big casino in the sky. Cheers!
