Frank Sinatra was called before a Congressional subcommittee to discuss whether he thought The Dino Lounge was a cool blog or not. :-)
Seriously though. I have no clue what is going on in these pictures. They are from 1965. Sinatra is testifying in front of some sort of hearing. Anybody have any ideas at all?

hmmm...I have no idea. I want to say it's from a film but I would be making that up:) either way, he's so cool..sigh...
Hello Keith, it has probably to do with his mob related businesses in the early 60's!
More info on:

Not a clue Keith - although I'd love to find out what it's about.
I wonder if it concerns the Cal Neva lodge that Frank co-owned *allegedly* with organized crime. Here's a link, though there's some saucy language involved:

Thanks Chessa. I appreciate your feedback. These are cool pics no matter what it's from.
Hey Mirko. Thanks for the comments. I'll check out that link. It probably does have something to do with that.
Thanks Dave. I know what you mean. It would be neat to find out.
Thanks C.K. I appreciate that. I'll definitely have to check that link out. That could be it. Who knows. I want to find out.
I'm not sure, but these are nice pictures. It will be interesting to know what these photos are about.
Thanks Phoebe. Glad you enjoyed these.

Hey pallie DMP. I know what you mean. lol
I don't know either, Keith, but I did notice some of the guys smiling and the one guy in the background with the cool shades.
Hey Jim. Thanks. I know what you mean. I noticed that too. Have a great day. Cheers!
Love how he has them laughing in the last photo :) And wow, he looks sharp in that suit!

Love, love, love these pictures. I'm becoming obsessed with this era thanks to you! :)
The truth is that Frank is not afraid of the feds....the feds are afraid of Frank, especially when he, Dino and Sammy team together!
Now that's what I call cool!
Thanks Carrie.
Thanks Erika. I appreciate that. I'm so glad that I could help you fall for this era. It's such an amazing time.
Hey JB. Thanks for the feedback. That is so true. Frank and the Rat Pack aren't scared of Uncle Sam, but Uncle Sam is definitely scared of these cool cats.
I have no idea but he was so sexy!!
Thanks Carlotta.
Nice fotos :o]
Thanks Terence.
He had to testify many times during his life. He had to testify during the wrong door raid involving marilyn monroe and again in 1970 with the new jersey commission and several times before that due to supposed links to organized crime that were never substantiated.
Hey Mel. Thanks for that info. I knew if anybody knew anything about Sinatra that it would be you. Cheers!
If you would care to read Nancy Sinatra's book about her father, it is titled: "Frank Sinatra, An American Legend" In it, she explained Frank's many hearings & the reasons he appeared. A LONG read, but very enlightening.
Hey Timmy. Thanks. I'd love to read that book. You've definitely inspired me to get my hands on it.
