Black Dynamite Is Super Bad

I recently saw Black Dynamite. This is a movie that I had really wanted to see since I first heard about it. I am a huge fan of the blaxploitation genre. Even though Black Dynamite is a new film, it looks and feels like something straight outta the 1970's. I loved it.

Michael Jai White plays Black Dynamite, a former CIA agent, who vows revenge after the murder of his brother. "The Man" not only was behind his brother's death, but is also feeling the streets with drugs and malt liquor. I don't want to give away anymore than that. This movie is so over the top. It totally captures what made blaxploitation movies so ultra cool in my opinion.

So has anybody else seen it? What did you think of it?

P.S. I hope everybody had a great weekend. It was a holiday weekend here in the United States so I had a three day weekend. Being that yesterday was Memorial Day, I did not do a blog post. I am posting today instead. This will be my only post on this blog this week. I should have my next post up on Monday. I'm going to head around to your blogs now. Take care. Have a fantastic week.

Hey Keith. I've been meaning to see this film for ages as I've heard lots of good things about it. In some respects it reminds me a little of UNDERCOVER BROTHER, which I really enjoyed. I hope to check it out soon and let you know what I think.

I swear I've seen this flick...about 35 years ago...love that Cleopatra Jones hairdo.

Michael Jai White reminds me of Jim Kelly.

And carrying a BIG pistol doesn't hurt one bit, either.

Keith!

When did you come back? I've been away too. Your Blaxpoloitation flix posts are fun - Dolomite fun.

As for the well-dressed man post earlier, I agree. I think men should live in suits, some of the time.
