Peter Lawford Sings Age Of Aquarius

It's hard to find clips of Peter Lawford online. I finally found one that I thought I would post. It's Peter singing Age of Aquarius on Hollywood Palace. I don't think I've ever heard him sing before. He doesn't have the voice of his Rat Pack pallies, but it's still a pretty cool clip. It's definitely got a groovy vibe to it. I hope you enjoy it.

Hey pallie DMP. I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Wow! I wasn't sure if you would or not. It's quite different. I was surprised when I came across it, but I just had to post it. There aren't many clips out there of Peter. I wanted to post something about him. It was very groovy. I did love it when Peter was dancin' with all those girls. He does look like he's having a blast. He was definitely having fun living the swingin' life. Peter's one lucky devil. I thought this was pretty cool. I plan to watch it again myself. That's so cool that you enjoyed it. I'm thrilled. Yeah, he doesn't have a voice like Dino. I think he makes up for it with his groovy style in this clip. Thanks for your great comments.

Wow!!!! That's pretty painful!

He doesn't have much of a voice, but I thought it was a cool clip though. It at least gave me something to post of Peter. Thanks for your comments.

Hey pallie Keith, likes I just had to goes over to youtube and see what more cool treasure of Peter there was...found quites a few clips from when the sam hosted the palace...includin' one of Peter, the sam and Rosey..have you seen that one yet...Peter is so so cool in that one as well....

BTW......I believe this is a Hollywood Palace that was hosted by Sammy. By this time Sammy was about the only one that would have anything to do with Lawford. And it just wasn't Sinatra's snub. Peter was into booze and drugs at this time and it was impossible for him to get any legit parts......A real shame......... Of course it eventually took him down.

Hey pallie DMP. That's cool that you went over there to see what they had. Nope, I had seen any of those. I just typed in Sammy Davis Jr. and Hollywood Palace. That brought up some clips that I'm going to check out when I have more time. I'm sure I'll end up posting some of them here on my blog. I can't wait to check them out. Thanks pallie!

Hey Nitramnaed. Thanks for the comments. I think it was the Hollywood Palace. I'm checking on some more clips from HP. Oh yeah, I know what you mean. It wasn't just because of the Sinatra snub. Peter did get himself into some things he shouldn't have. He was way overindulging. I think Sammy was about the only one still pallies with him. Remember they did those couple of movies together....Salt and Pepper & One More Time.

Yes,Salt and Pepper....Those movies were almost as painful as this clip! LOL!

I love Mr. Lawford, even though he had that tiff with Frank. However, you were correct when you said he ain't got the pipes of his pals.

It's kind of weird to see crooners from back in the day embrace the hippie culture. Sammy Davis, Jr. went in head first, and even guys like Mel Torme tried to fit in with the new style of music. I think Dino and Frank seemed to change the least.

I see you often comment at Gil's Retrospace and dropped into your site here and it is pretty cool. I love the Ratpack but don't know much about their history and adventures. I hope to pick up some much needed education here.

Hey Gilligan. Thanks for the comments. I've become a bigger fan of Lawford over the years. He's definitely not much of a singer. Still a cool clip though. It is weird to see these entertainers from the swingin' era try to embrace the groovy hippie culture, etc. Sammy really went full blast into it with his sound and style. I never knew that about Mel. Yikes. Dino and Frank didn't seem to try to fit in as much with that scene.

Hey Bill. Great blog you've got. I'm going to check it out. I'm adding you to my blog roll. Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you dropped in to see my blog. Yeah I love Retrospace. I'm a huge fan of the Rat Pack. There are plenty of things that I don't know myself. I'm also learning something new about these cool cats. I definitely hope you continue to check out my blog. Please feel free to leave any comments you like. I've been doing this blog for a couple of months now. Cheers!

Oh that was painful to watch! There's a reason why he didn't sing!
I think it's funny how he just sits in his chair and everyone just moves around him. Thanks! I think:)

Hey Sue. LOL Thanks for your comments. Yeah, I guess we see why he acted and didn't sing. I still thought it was an interesting clip to post. You can't say I don't share the good and bad. :-)
