Pierce Brosnan has been keeping quite busy since his time as James Bond ended. He has appeared in The Ghost Writer, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Remember Me in 2010. Here are some photos of the former 007 from GQ. I hope you enjoy these photos (by Ben Watts). Pierce Brosnan looks like one of those men born to wear a suit.
P.S. I thought I would do a new poll on the blog. Vote for your favorite actor who played James Bond. You have one week to make your choice. I will reveal the results in next Thursday's post. The poll is on the upper right side of the blog. Below are your candidates. Thanks for voting.
1. Sean Connery: Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds Are Forever & Never Say Never Again.
2. George Lazenby: On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
3. Roger Moore: Live And Let Die, The Man With the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy & A View To A Kill.
4. Timothy Dalton: The Living Daylights & Licence To Kill.
5. Pierce Brosnan: GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough & Die Another Day.
6. Daniel Craig: Casino Royale & Quantum Of Solace.
Pierce Brosnan played the role of James Bond in four films: GoldenEye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999) & Die Another Day (2002). Brosnan almost played the role earlier than he did. He was approached by the Bond producers when Timothy Dalton was going to be unavailable to take over the role, after the retirement of Roger Moore, due to another movie commitment.
Brosnan was finishing up his role on the NBC series Remington Steele at the time. The publicity, however, created a buzz to revive the series from cancellation. That was unfortunate because it meant that Brosnan was not going to be able to play 007. Dalton ended up playing Bond after all. He went on to do The Living Daylights (1987) and Licence To Kill (1989). Legal issues delayed the filming of any more Bond films for years. Frustrated with it all, Dalton stepped down from the role.
When things were finally resolved, Pierce Brosnan was now free to play the role of James Bond. Many had wondered whether the franchise could survive and thrive in the post-Cold War world. Brosnan's 007 showed that it definitely could. Each of his Bond films was very successful. He would be succeeded in the role by Daniel Craig. I've heard varying stories over whether Brosnan stepped down from the role or he was let go to make room for a younger Bond. So are you a fan of Pierce Brosnan's take on Bond? Which is your favorite Bond film of his? Which of the theme songs do you like the best? Let me know what you think?

P.S. Anybody here use Digg at all? If so, what do you think of it? I've been curious about it, but what's sure what others around here thought of it. Any feedback would be well appreciated. Thanks.
One of my favorite accessories is a watch. I wish I had a lot more of them than I do. There are some really nice ones out there. Here are some ads and so forth from the prestigious Swiss company Omega Watches. What do you think of these watches? What kind of watch do you wear? Checking out these ads got me wondering what type of watches Dean Martin and the other members of the Rat Pack wore. Any ideas? Let me know what you think.
