I've been receiving some wonderful pictures from Timmy by email. I decided it was time I started sharing some of them with my pallies here. These photos come from the set of Rio Bravo. The 1959 western starring John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, etc. is one of my all-time favorite westerns. I hope you enjoy these pics.
Thanks so much to Timmy for all the amazing pictures he's sent to me. I really appreciate it. I will definitely be posting more of the others I've been sent by him in the near future.

I'm not really a fan of westerns. My husband is though. These are some nice photos. I look forward to what else you post.
Hey Phoebe. I understand where you're coming from. My sis hates westerns. Glad you still like the pics.
Hey pallie Keith, likes thanks so much for sharin' these wonderful pixs of our Dino and others..just one Dinoquestion, wonderin' how cans you say that "Rio" is one of your fav westerns...it is the greatest western of all time and probably our Dino's finest performance in a drama...
Hey pallie DMP. Thanks for the comments. Glad to hear from you. I'm happy that you enjoyed these pictures. I thought they were really cool. Why did I not guess you would take issue with my words? lol Rio Bravo is my favorite Dean Martin western. It's definitely one of my top westerns of all time. It's hard for me to pick my favorite overall western. Cheers!
What a great movie! Every time Dean starts singing his song with Ricky, my wife swoons. She always points out how much better sounding Dean is than Ricky.
Also, did you see my album cover of Dean "Tex" Martin at my site?

Hey Robert. Thanks for the comments. Glad to see you're a fan of this movie. I love it a lot. I do think Dino's a better singer than Ricky. I like that song. I don't remember ever seeing that album cover you mentioned. Cheers!
so handsome...such class.
my dad is obsessed with all this stuff...i was raised that a man is exactly what this website is about...i love it.
Hey there. Thanks for the comments. Great hearing from you. I appreciate the feedback. This is the type of man I try to be more like. Cheers!
Good job, Buck! I don't know if you ever heard the story about Ricky's birthday during filming of "Rio", Both The Duke & Dino had him come out into the street on the set (Old Tucson), & they presented Ricky with a huge bag full of horse manure! What a gas...
Here's the link for the Dean Marin country album cover. Sorry, no music files.

Great photographs from a great movie. Wonderful post!
The Sergio Leone westerns are my fave, I've been to area of Spain where they're filmed Almeria - love Ricky's Gibson SJ200 too
Hey Timmy. Thanks for the comments. Glad you liked the post. No, I had never heard that before. That is so hilarious what the Duke and Dino did. I would love to have seen the look on Ricky's face. So awesome. Cheers!
Thanks Robert. I'll be sure to check that link out.
Hey Scott. Thanks. Glad you liked it. Cheers!
Hey Dave. Thanks for the comments. I'm a big fan of spaghetti westerns. Those are usually the kind of westerns I tend to watch. I've always wanted to visit Spain. I've been to quite a few countries in Europe, just not Spain.
Love the pictures. I love this movie and watch it all the time. It is one of the top five westerns ever in my opinion. John Wayne and Dean Martin are great in this film.
Hey Mike. Thanks for the comments. Glad you liked the pictures. That's awesome that you're such a big fan of this film. I agree with you about it. It's definitely one of my favorite westerns of all time.
I love all these old pictures..
Thanks Autumn. I'm glad you enjoyed them.
Wonderful. Chance, Dude, Colorado and Stumpy... What a team! I love this film by Hawks. I think the song is one of the most exciting moments in the movie.
Greetings, Keith, and congratulations for the blog.
PS: Sorry for my poor English; I can read it but writing is still hard to me.
I'd never watched these pictures before. Beautiful. I love Rio Bravo, without any doubt, one of my favourite westerns. Pleased to meet this site ;-)
