Sean "Diddy" Combs Advertises For Ciroc Vodka

A recent comment by Chi-Chi (she does a fantastic blog focusing on urban entertainment called Urban Hoopla) sparked this particular post.

A few months ago I posted a commercial that Sean "Diddy" Combs had done for Ciroc Vodka. The commercial featured Frank Sinatra's Come Fly With Me. Click here for that post.

I decided to repost that commercial here as well as some other clips and pictures I hope you will enjoy.

SEAN COMBS-VODKA

Here's a short clip, using an instrumental version of Come Fly With Me, where Diddy talks about drinking responsibly. Check it out.

Here's the latest commercial for Ciroc Video. This one doesn't feature Sinatra's tune, but instead Flashing Lights by Kanye West. I still thought I would post it here.

I hope you enjoyed this post. It's a little something different here. I'm trying to do some other things to keep this blog fresh and interesting. I've had some readers who have given me feedback that they would love to see some about my other interests. I know some people come here just because of Dean Martin and nothing else. I still plan to post plenty about him and the rest of the Rat Pack. I want to, however, do other posts that reflect my other interests and the type of lifestyle that I want to live. I hope that all of you will bear with me and that you will like the different posts I do here. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Hello Keith. This was a really cool post. I did enjoy it. I'll support you with whatever you do with this blog. I think it's nice to spice things up from time to time. It's not like this didn't have a connection with the Rat Pack.

Hey Phoebe. Thanks so much. I appreciate that. I'm not trying to get away from what the focus on this blog is about. It will stay centered on the Rat Pack, but I do want to expand it at times. I think it will help get it fresh. I'm glad to know that you support what I do. Cheers!

Top post Keith, I don't think they sell Ciroc in the UK, Abslolut and Stolichnaya are my faves though, particularly the vanilla flavour

Hey Dave. Thanks. Glad you liked it. I've never tried Ciroc myself. I thought it was neat though that he was doing all of this with the product, especially since they used a Sinatra song in one of the commercials. Cheers!

Great post Keith... I love my Vodka !... I'm gonna have to try this.
Frank's music makes everything cool and swanky.

Hey pallie DMP. Thanks for the comments. I appreciate them. There are a few others that are more or less here just for Dino. It's not a criticism at all. That's totally fine with me. You are definitely the #1 Dinoholic out there. It is nice to see artists of today who are inspired by the Rat Pack. That only helps bring more younger fans into finding out about Dino and the rest of the gang. Cheers!

Hey Mia. Thanks for the comments. It was great hearing from you. Glad you liked this post. I thought it was something a little different. I've not tried this myself, but I would like to. Cheers!

Hey pallie Keith, likes just don't forget that you have tagged this blog "The Dino Lounge"...and really truly only Dino matters...

Hey pallie DMP. LOL Don't worry. I'm not moving away from Dino at all. I've always tried to make sure I post things about Sammy, Frank & the rest of the Pack. Any posts that are about other stars I try to usually get related to the Rat Pack in some way. They either did a song together, played in a movie together, made an appearance on Dino's show, etc. Anything else I'll end up posting will be those artists that were around at the same time. I'm not going to go off in left field or anything. The backbone of this blog is and will remain Dean Martin. Most posts will still be about him. If not him, then at least Sammy or Frankie. Here and there it's nice to do something else. It keeps it fresh for me. Plus I usually post 5 posts a week so that gives me a chance to play around some. Thanks for all your support on this blog. I appreciate it. Cheers!

1) I think this your blog and you talk about whatever the hell you want to. I'm sure it'll still have that Dino vibe anyway. Hell, I talk about current things on retrospace all the time - who the hell cares? I doubt too many folks will get their panties in a wad 'cause it's not specifically about Dino. The most important thing is that YOU keep enjoying what you're doing - the enthusiasm will show through, and that's all that matters in the end.

2) As far as Puff Daddy/P. Diddy is concerned - not a big fan. On the one hand, I'm glad to see great songs resurrected for a new generation. On the other hand, it's P.Diddy and that ruins it for me. This dude's ego is bigger than Paul Stanley and Bill O'Reilly's put together! One day he'll go broke like Hammer and I'll be happy again. ;-)

good post!
i liked both the commercials, and diddy was a good chocie for that particular advertisement

Hey Gil. Thanks for the comments. I appreciate them. I had been debating on whether I wanted to cover things that might not necessarily relate to Dino or the Rat Pack as a whole. I had some people that told me to go ahead with it if I wanted to. They thought it would be cool to do that. I plan for the blog to stay centered on the Rat Pack, but I would like from time to time to branch out some. I do appreciate your advice.

I go through spells with Diddy. There are things I like about him, but other times he gets on my nerves. I did like this commercial. Plus I thought it was cool that he was using a Sinatra tune. Oh yeah. I love the way you described him as having a bigger ego than Paul Stanley and Bill O'Reilly combined. That's got to be a big one then. lol He is one cocky S.O.B.

Hey Molly. Thanks for the comments. I'm glad you liked it. I like those commercials myself. Cheers!

Cool stuff...! I'm not really a Diddyfan... I'm to old... maybe :-)
But I'm a fan of Vodka, mostly Absolut Vodka (Swedish you know).

Keith said...

Hey Sid. Thanks for the comments. I totally understand. I don't blame you for being a fan of vodka. I am too. :-)

I like this post a lot!
I actually enjoyed both commercials a lot...the Frank Sinatra was great for obvious reasons, and the Kanye West version adds something too!
It's nice to see the diversity :)

Keith said...

Hey Allison. Thanks for the comments. It was great hearing from you. I'm really glad you enjoyed this post and these videos. I liked both of them myself. It was cool to see the one with the Sinatra tune and the Rat Pack swagger, but I also loved the club one featuring the Kanye song too.

Keith this was a very thorough post. I just hope Ciroc/Diddy also gives Sinatra a portion from the profits made. I cannot STAND Diddy! I learn to appreciate Sinatra's music more. Did you catch the Grammy's? Queen Latifah presented M.I.A., Kanye West, Jay-Z, T.I. and Lil' Wayne as this generation's Rat Pack. What do you think about that statement??

Keith said...

Hey Chi-Chi. Thanks for the comments. I've got believe that the Sinatra family is making something off that commercial. Not sure how much though. I go back and forth on Diddy. Sometimes I like him and other times I can't stand him. I love Sinatra's music. I did see the Grammy's. I didn't really like how they did the lifetime achievement award to Dean Martin. I expected more of a tribute than was given. While I liked that song by M.I.A., Kanye West, Jay-Z, T.I. and Lil' Wayne, I didn't think that was the right act and song to do. They certainly aren't this generation's Rat Pack. If they are that, then God help us all. lol Cheers!

Chi-Chi said...

Well said, Keith! LOL! Remember years ago Diddy tried to do his own Rat Pack with Ashton Kutcher??? WOW!

Keith said...

Hey Chi-Chi. Thanks for reminding me of Diddy and Ashton. Yikes! lol I don't know if I could think of many guys today who could pull off what the Rat Pack had.

nice to see the music of the rat pack ain't growin' old (though i'm not a fun of p. diddy or whatever he's calling himself these days). not sure dino, frank or the rest of the boys had to change their names every other year. sign of the times, boys...sign of the times. nice blog. big fan of dean's.

Hey Weak Knees. Thanks for the comments. It was nice hearing from you. The music of the Rat Pack is definitely timeless. I can take or leave Diddy. He does seem to change his name every single time you turn around. Frank, Dino, Sammy, etc. didn't need to do that. They were definitely cool cats. Glad you like the blog. Always cool to meet another Dean Martin fan. Please stop by anytime you like. I love hearing from people. Cheers!
