Frank Sinatra was awarded the Medal of Freedom by President Ronald Reagan on May 23, 1985 in Washington, D.C. Former United Nations ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick applauds behind them.
You can visit the Frank Sinatra page at the Presidential Medal of Freedom website. It includes some biographical information about the Chairman of the Board himself. I really love this picture. Besides being an entertainment legend and icon, Sinatra was a wonderful humanitarian. He truly deserved this award. I'm glad he received it.

That is a wonderful picture. He did so much, and a lot of his humanitarian work was done anonymously. He was an amazing person.
Hey Kate. Thanks for the comments. Glad you like the photo. I do too. Sinatra did do a lot of humanitarian work that people didn't even know about.
I love this picture. Frank Sinatra definitely deserved this award. He used his fame and fortune to make the lives of others better. He didn't have to broadcast it to the world either.
Thanks Phoebe. I know what you mean. Modern celebs have to publicize it every single time they do a charity event. Sinatra many times gave behind the scenes. He didn't want all the attention.
Hey pallie Keith,........so I wanna know what didn't our Dino get such an award...thinks of all the humanitarian work that our great man did...and did it was such total cool....
Hey pallie DMP. Thanks for the comments. I'm not sure why Dino never received such an award. It would have been great if he did.
Who knew? How cool! You teach me something every day, K!

Thanks Carrie. I appreciate that. I'm glad you can always find out something new here. Cheers!
Love the Nixon/Elvis photo sessions too
Hey Dave. I've got some of those I probably will post.
Now Mr. Sinatra was a true role model! We rarely have celebs like him anymore.
Thanks Dapper Kid. I totally agree with you on that. Cheers!
Thank you for posting this. Sinatra was such a kind man. Thank you for focusing on all the good he did during his lifetime. He helped out countless amounts of people anonymously. God bless Sinatra.
Thanks Mel. I appreciate the comments. Sinatra was definitely an amazing man in so many ways. I think it's fantastic that he did so much good with the fame and fortune he achieved.
