Funny & Sexy Magazines I Think Dean Martin Would Have Enjoyed

These are definitely the kind of magazines that I could imagine Dean Martin having a look at.

Those two magazines covers are courtesy of my pallie Mag. The rest I found on my own.

P.S. Many of you already know about my other blog. For those that don't, it's called Sugar & Spice. It's my tribute devoted to the beautiful women, both famous and non-famous, of the swinging 60's and the groovy 70's. I hope you'll check it out. Please feel free to leave comments there. I love hearing from people. Thanks. Cheers!

Those are cool mags, I can just imagine how scandalous they would be been back then.

So wonderfully fun! Agreed, Deano would most likely have taken a shinning to these pin-up filled mags in a heartbeat :)

Have a fantastic Friday, Keith!

The magazine covers are fantastic. Anyone who wants to know more about the story behind them, has to go rent The Notorious Betty Paige, starring Gretchen Mol. She was The Queen.

By the way Keith, have you ever thought of putting together "theme parties?" You could tap into the baby boomer market by going to private events, where you would play your vintage music, hang posters of the gang, wear a costume yourself, etc. I think it could very well lead to a profitable and fun niche business, without any real investment risk.

Hey Bruce. Thanks for the comments. Great hearing from you. I love that movie. I've been planning to watch it again.

Wonderful idea. Wow! I had never thought about that before. It sounds like a cool idea. I might have to give that some serious thought. Thanks so much. I appreciate the advice.

Have a great weekend. Cheers!

Hey Proudly. Thanks. It was great hearing from you. I hadn't visited your blog lately until the other day. It seemed like you had been busy and weren't posting. Then I popped up there the other day and saw quite a few posts. I'm glad you enjoyed this post. I've had two blogs for quite some time. I started the other one a few months after this one. I've mentioned it a time or two up here. Plus I have a link for it in my sidebar. Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks Dave. I thought so too. Cheers!

Seems like I remember finding an Eye magazine in a box of my dad's stuff. Perhaps that's why I'm so enamored of the vintage ladies.

Keith: There is nothing cooler than those men's magazines from the 50s and early 60s. I've been posting some the men's adventure type mags over at my joint for examples of atomic age illustration, too. What the hell happened to our sense of style?

Personally, I want a lifetime subscrition to Snappy! -- Mykal

Hey Kim. Sorry you hadn't realized before that Sugar & Spice was my other blog. Thanks for adding to your links. I'll add your blog to my links up there.

Keith said...

Hey Mykal. Thanks. Glad you enjoy these magazines too. I love all these cool mags from the 50's/60's. Those are the kind of mags I wanna read today. It is a shame that our sense of style is no longer in vogue.

Thanks Gabbi.

Keith...I prefer these ladies in the retro magazines as compared to the newer ones......at least these ladies look real!

Keith said...

Hey Kelly. Thanks. I totally agree with you. These are the kind of ladies I prefer. They are natural and not fake. Have you checked out my other blog Sugar & Spice yet? If not, you should. I post pictures of the beautiful women of the 60's and 70's over there.
