Seven Facts About Your Host At The Dino Lounge

Premio_Meme_Award

Veronica at the wonderful blog Some Like It Vintage has presented me with the Premio Meme Award. The rules are that I'm to state 7 things about me and pass the award on to 7 other people. I'll go ahead and say that all of you are worthy of this award. I've seen some of my other blogging friends do similar posts recently so I'm not going to bestow this award on any 7 particular bloggers. If any of you want to do this, please feel free to. The award is yours. I'd love to read those 7 facts about you.

Here goes nothing. These are in no particular order. I hope you enjoy reading them. Let me know what you think.

1. My introduction to Dean Martin came on two fronts. I was introduced to his music by my late paternal grandmother. I also was introduced to him by watching his celebrity roasts. I'm actually posting a clip here featuring Don Rickles roasting Bob Hope. Of course, we know that Don is going to poke fun at everybody else on stage. It's a hilarious clip. I hope you'll watch it. I love Don.

2. The first election I voted in was in 1992. I voted for Ross Perot as President.

3. While I was raised up in a Christian family, I have been studying Judaism and am considering converting.

4. The first James Bond film I ever saw was For Your Eyes Only in 1981. It was the last movie I ever saw at our local drive-in.

5. My favorite show as a kid was The Six Million Dollar Man.

6. The first time I kissed a girl was in kindergarten. We kissed each other quite a few times during naptime before we were caught by our teacher.

7. I visited Europe for a month back in the year 2000. I traveled through England, France, Monaco, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands & Italy.

Hey Rev. Thanks. Yeah, I don't get too personal on my blogs. It's nice at times to share parts of my life with others.

Very interesting did you have a Steve Austin action figure - I did, had roll up skin on his arm..

Hey Dave. Yeah, I did. I loved that thing. I lost all my toys when our house burned down in the early 80's.

Fascinating Keith! One of the best thing about blogs is slowly discovering little nuggets of information about people.

Good luck with your interest in Judaism. It's a fascinating religion and culture. And funnily enough, just 5 minutes ago I organised a work trip for a couple of us to a synagogue just near us in London, it's one of the oldest in the UK.

Keith said...

Thanks Cocktails. I appreciate that. It is neat to share this sort of info. You get to learn more about someone else. I always enjoy reading these sort of posts on other blogs.

I really am drawn deeply to Judaism. I have a deep love and respect for the Jewish people and their culture. I feel like I have a Jewish soul. That's so cool about the synagogue. Here the local synagogue is about to get a rabbi. It's a black woman. She's making history here.

A black femal rabbi?
Oy vay!

Melissa Hafting said...

I love watching Don Rickles he really makes me laugh.

Keith said...

Hey Thomas. Yep. It's even been covered by CNN & the New York Times.

Keith said...

Hey Mel. I do too. I've always been a fan of Mr. Warmth.

Mrs. M. said...

wow that is so cool about possibly converting to Judasim and traveling Europe! I am so jealous about that one. You have to tell me if Switzerland is amazing as i always thought it would be.
we have an old school drive in movie theatre up here. you would probably love it.

Keith said...

Hey Mrs. M, Thanks. I've been interested in Judaism for a number of years and have been serious studying it. I'm to the point where I want to possibly convert. I loved Europe. Switzerland was fantastic. One of the places I visited was Lucerne. That is one of the best places I've ever been in my life.
