One of my favorite tunes to listen to as the Christmas season rolls around each year is Marshmallow World by Dean Martin. It was recorded by Dino for his 1966 Christmas album. I really love this song. It really puts me in the holiday spirit. Here are several different video versions of the song. I hope you will watch all of them. The first one is of Dino singing solo. The second one is a duet with Frank Sinatra. The last one is a duet with Beverly Sills. Let me know which version you like the best.
P.S. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to promote my blog? I was talking to somebody about this the other day. They seemed surprised that I was curious about this subject. I guess they figured I had enough people visiting my blog and commenting. I know I get a lot of comments. I've also got a lot of people who follow my blog, plus there are a lot who are subscribed to the feed. I'm still interested to learn more about how to get more traffic to my blog. I want to build up my readership even more. Any advice at all would be well appreciated? Thanks so much.
Also, I did want to mention this. I know some other bloggers are having the same trouble. I'm having some problems with comments on my blog. It's actually on both my blogs. They are very slow to show up. I also know some people have had trouble leaving comments. Some comments never seem to appear at all. It is very irritating. I'm getting really sick of Blogger right now. I do hope you will bear with me Please continue to leave your comments. They are always well appreciated. I love hearing from you guys. Thanks so much. I did want you all to know what's been happening. Take care.

I love the version with Frank Sinatra... I think the interaction between the two of them is so fun =) And I just love Frank and his voice, so maybe I'm a little biased! I love this song too =) It is definitely making me feel like Christmas is right around the corner!
Thanks for the clip with Beverly Sills! The Sills fans will surely be tuning in.
Hi Keith! I love Marshmallow World especially the one with Frank Sinatra.
For more traffic, I guess you have to just post a lot of interesting stuff and let the search engines find you. And comment on other people's blog but be sure to post relevant comments so that the other bloggers commenting on that same post will be interested to check you out.
And don't follow what a few bloggers are doing, they have a standard comment for any blog they visit. It's as if they just click the comment button and post their comment without actually reading or looking at the post. That's just too bad.
Great videos Keith!
Don't forget to ENTER the Hoolala Lucky Bag giveaway for Ur friends! GOOD LUCK! ♥
Dear Keith, what a treat! As you know, my Dean Martin Christmas CD is on a constant replay in my white house on the hill and this one is one of my favorites.;)

The second one is far the best,Dino and Frank make this version fun!
I love this song too and I think my favorite version is when it's just Dean alone. My favorite song is Frank's "Christmas Waltz".
About traffic, not sure that I'm really any help with this but all I cam say is network network network. Make sure to have your blog address everywhere, forum sigs, e-mail sigs, etc. And leave comments on every blog you can. I've heard that creating a fan page on Facebook for your blog helps too. There is an organization called "SITS" that promotes comments/blog traffic. It is mostly girls, lol but I know that there are some men that participate too. :D
Yes the Dino and Frank duet is defo the best of the bunch - not sure about traffic ideas though
I enjoyed all of these videos. The one with Frank is my favorite. These two do have great chemistry together.
I love the song. It's always been one I've loved. The version with Frank is the best.
thank u for your words... baby.... kisses... great post as always...
The one with Frank Sinatra takes the cake - or rather, the marshmallow! This is the first time I've heard this song - love it! :)
Keith, I love your blog more and more !

Even though it's not a Christmas song per se, my favorite is from the movie White Christmas. It's the one where the men dress up as the showgirls and sing the "Sisters" song! HILarious.
Wow, cool blog - thanks so much for stopping by mine and leaving a comment or I may never have discovered yours! You're definitely on the right track by leaving comments within the vintage blogging community. A lot of my followers have found me that way. Also I will add your link to my blog list.
Great videos. That's a really good song. I'm going to have to say the duet with The Chairman is my favorite.
Hope your enjoying the holiday season!
Thanks Keith for being such a wonderful source for this good stuff!! I eat it up.. Putting a link to you on my site..
I also giggle when I hear that song. It puts me in the best mood :)
Hope your Christmas season is going well, Keith!
Regarding promoting you blog, aside from commenting and following other blogs:
* Put a signature template at the bottom of any email you send, featuring your blog name and URL (this can be done in the Preferences of most email programs)
* There are syndication services such as BlogBurst
* I've listed my blog in about a dozen blog directories, but the only one that's gotten me any traffic (and minimally at that) is BlogCatalog
* Are you a member of the LAMB? (Large Association of Movie Blogs) You post movie clips and discussions about movies from Dino's era now and then...

Hope this helps!
Fabulously festive post!

I can't choose ... in terms of traffic, it's a challenge - best of luck!!
For more traffic I would make a Page on Facebook as well as using NetworkedBlogs, put a Digg! icon on your posts, and submit posts to the IMDb Hit List when you have something particularly interesting- they share a lot of links there that are celebrity related, and your retrospectives of classic beauties surely fit the bill.
Thanks for kind words on my blog.
Dean Martin has never been my 'cup of tea' but surely.... I love him in a retro way!
I hope you feel good and have a great weekend ahead.

This classic tune is one of my absolute favourite holiday songs, too! I just love the melody - and the idea of a world that really was made of marshmallows (one of my favourite sweet treats!).
Have a fantastic day, my friend!

I love the cigarette in the first video. You would never see that now, which makes it an awesome touch. Video 2 feels the most fun overall, though.
My favorite X'Mas song... http://bit.ly/T4ruz
I'm new to promoting blogs as well, but I'd say you're doing an awesome job. I see you're already on Bloglovin'.
Personally I'm thinking about starting a new blog on tumblr (with different topics).
Fabulous post!!!!!! Love this song of course with Dino singing it! :)
Dino and Frank's version is best.
Wish i knew how to get more people to visit blogs, like mine. LOL
I love these video clips Keith!!
Have your tried stumbleupon, I know a lot of bloggers who use that to get their blog out there.
XOXO

I like the first video. Too cool Dino. I kept waiting for the ash to fall off his cigarette.
I’m fairly new to blogging so I’m still learning about increasing blog traffic but here’s a tip-
Long comments > short comments.
Hey pallie, likes you knows my fav Dino-version of "Marshmallows"...you really oughta read my pallie, Ed's stellar review of this Dino-tune over at ilovedinomartin...and, no disrespect meant pallie, with all your frustrations, please keep in mind that blogger is a free service, for which this is one pallie who is so grateful for...
Hi Keith - love this Christmas classic from Dean Martin - helps me get into the holiday spirit.
It´s great...:) love it
I love the Martin, Sinatra version. It was hilarious, I cracked up when they started dancing. Hysterical:)
This was a great post. I understand about the comments. I have trouble on other people's blogs leaving comments, though I haven't had any problems on yours. I hope you can get the problem straightened out.
Have a great evening, my friend.
Nice song. I didn´t know about it. Regarding blog traffic, comment with care and publish interesting stuff. Also there is a place called linkreferral to link your blog there.
xoxo

can you believe i never heard that song before?! crazy...but it's very festive. i like the first two versions.
I like the Frank version best too! So much fun, thanks for posting all the versions :)
I am thinking a lot about the blog-promotion thing, too. I'll let you know if/when I hit on anything really good. Twitter is not bad for networking but it does not bring me that many hits...And as for FB? I don't know. I'm anachronistic and don't love the FB thing but maybe it would help. Facebook people, what do you think?
Actually, I saw that you are on FB, Keith - does the Networked Blogs thing help you at all?
lovely clips :o]
It certainly feels like X'mas....
I think as bloggers, we all want to expand our readership and make more friends. I don't have a large following but I guess you get what you give. I'm sure if I go around visiting lots of blogs and leaving comments, I would get a larger following...but I probably won't have time to work on my content...
Twitter seems to work for some people...
I like reading this blog http://www.davidrisley.com/ for some insights (even though I haven't implemented any).
Blogs which have regular giveaways seem to attract a lot of traffic or tutorials for doing stuff...I'm not sure how it applies to your content though...
I do think that turning off the word verification helps with the commenting. I've given up commenting on some blogs because the word verification doesn't load properly. I turned mine off the moment I used a blackberry to leave a comment on someone's blog...it is very hard to do so on a small handheld device. I've had like 3 spam messages so far (which isn't that bad I think). Hope this helps.
lovely post keith!
thanx for passing by, I really appreciate your comments!!
greetz, x
I hope this is all right...I'm having a lingerie giveaway on my blog right now and would love for you to enter! :-)
