It's The Age Of Aquarius

I've had The Age of Aquarius in my head for some reason. I've been humming this song all week long now. I decided to look for clips of people singing it. I've found some that I thought I would post. I hope you enjoy them.

I've posted this one of Peter Lawford before, but I wanted to post it again.

Here is Diahann Carroll:

Here is Engelbert Humperdinck:

So do you like any of these versions? If so, which one? Curious to know. Thanks. I was hoping to find some other entertainers do this song. It's a shame that Sammy Davis Jr. didn't do this song. I could easily imagine him covering this song.

Thanks Phoebe. I love this song too. Hair is really cool.

Peter Lawford shouldn't sing outside the shower.

My favorite version is Donna Summer from Hair on Broadway.

Hey Robert. When I posted the Peter Lawford clip in the past, it definitely got a lot of reaction.

Love that Diahann Carroll version - if you can, check out the George Shearing version, it's a peach, but tricky to track down..

Wow weird to see Peter sing this song... or sing at all :S Back in the Rat Pack time, Dean, Sammy and Frank did that job, and Peter would sing some times, but mostly gags and stuff like that..

The title of this post reminds me of the reality show - The 70's House. I was a huge fan, and they constantly played that song...which I grew to love! :)

Such a great song... never tire of it! Peter's version is my fave, but Diahann gets my 'best dressed' vote and Humperdinck (I just like saying his name) gets for best dance.

Fun post dear Keith!

When I was in grade six my entire elementary school put on a Christmas pagent entitled "Music Through The Decades" (of the 20th century), and one of the songs they chose to represent the 60s was Age of Aquarius.

Though it wasn't the decade my grade was assigned to cover, the whole student body was put through so many rehearsals that I ended up learning all the words to the songs from each decade. (My grade was designated the "80s", but I sweet talked the music teacher into letting me and two girlfriends forgo joining in with our classmates and instead to put a 40s song and dance routine of the song Chattanooga Choo Choo :D).

Anyhoooooo, long story short, to this day that tune still pops into my head all the time too, and when it does it tends to linger for ages (of Aquarius? ;P)

Wishing you an great day, Keith!
♥ Jessica

Hey Dave. Thanks. I really like her version. I had never heard George Shearing do this song. I'll have to see if I can find it.

Hey Maria. Thanks. When I first found this clip, I was amazed. I had never really heard Peter sing a song before. It was neat to find this. Plus I do like this song.

Hey Erika. Glad my title could remind you of some show. I've never seen that show before. I don't think I've ever even heard of it.

Keith said...

Hey Gabbi. Thanks. I'm glad you found something to enjoy from all three versions. I do too. Cheers!

Hey Jessica. Thanks for sharing that story with me. I thought that was so cool. I can imagine that now. I love this song. Whenever I get it into my head, it's hard to get out for days. It just has that sort of effect on me.

Hey pallie, well no one else is gonna say how much they dig Peter singin' the song, so I'm gonna have to....great singer...no...likes totally groovy..yeah! Peter became likes a total modster durin' the swingin' 60's and into the 70's as well. Loves how he fruggs in the midst of singin'...this dude knows how to move...always loves seein' Peter appear on "Laugh-In" and of course you know how much I digg him with the Sam in "Salt And Pepper."

btw, sure you have noticed that I haven't been commentin' of late...that is 'cause I am now committed to becomin' more like our Dino and the most important way I know how is to work at detachin' myself likes our Dino does...so I am havin' success at detachin' myself from the ilovedinomartin blog and from postin' comments elsewhere...detachin' from everyone and everythin' in the way our great man does...you will find me sharin' a comment at points if I really have somethin' of substance to say...likes with this cool vid of Peter...but no more daily comments or tons of posts from this dude.....'cause it's not the sorta thin' our Dino woulda do. And I am lovin' the ways our Dino is teachin' me 'bout detachment...likes no longer addressin' dudes by name...simply by pallie...and just tryin' to let go of all my intense activity on the web...it is likes so totally totally Dinoliberatin'

will still be workin' at puttin' together your Dinointerview and gettin' it posted at ilovedinomartin...does need for you to select your fav Dinopix or pixs and a pix of you as well to add to your cool Dinothoughts...

Hey pallie DMP. It was nice to hear from you. Some of us had been wondering what had happened to you. I actually thought something bad might have happened. I'm glad you are alright. I totally understand. That's your decision. Good luck with that. I wish you the best. I'll miss your regular posts on the blog, but I can understand what you are trying to do. I hope it goes well for you. Let me know when you want the pictures. I've had a rough with work My boss cussed me out on Monday and threatened to fire me. That has had me stressed out and trying to figure out something else to do. Take care.

P.S. Personally I love Peter's version of this song. I thought it was awesome when I first came across it.

Hey pallie, likes so sorry for the problemos on the job...if you ever wanna talk more, you know my email...thanks for understandin'...likes when you withdrew from the ilovedinomartin Dinodialogue Dinopad to have time to live more like our Dino, so our Dino has called me to be even willin' to give up somethin' I loves so much....sharin' 'bout our Dino and doin' Dinopatter with others 'bout him to allow myself to detach from it all...everyone...everythin'....and simply become more and more like our Dino....and as I said yesterday...for me, it is becomin' so liberatin'....no matter what happens at work, in the world...whatever....I'm learnin' to let it all go....so, yes, you see somethin' has happened to me...but it is all for the Dinobest...so if you wanna leaves some patter when I Dinopost, that will be cool...and if you don't that is cool as well...sounds like with your problemos, you just might wanna also follow the way of our Dino and detach yourself from all that ties you down. You can share your Dinopix(s) and your self pix whenever at my email address and I will work on gettin' your Dinointerview in order...thinks you gave some really cool Dinoanswers....btw, glads you dig Peter doin' his thin' on the Hollywood Palace...

Keith said...

Hey pallie DMP. Thanks. I appreciate it. You've always been a good pallie. I respect your decision. I think it's cool. I'm a guy who supports people living their life the way they feel they are called. I wish you the best. I don't have many pics of myself up here, but I'll find one of them. What sort of Dinopixs are you looking for? How many at that? Take care. Good luck. I do wish you the best. Living the Dinolife is the best. Cheers!

dino martin peters said...

Hey pallie, well just wanna you to share one or more of your fav Dinopixs and then I'll ask you a question 'bout why they are your favs...'nother way of ilovedinomartin Dinoholics gettin' to know more 'bout your Dinoaddiction....thanks for understandin'...what with all your probs, I would ask you to consider becomin' more detached like our Dino as well...believe me I am findin' it is truly the only Dinoway to be.....

Keith said...

Hey pallie DMP. I'll find a couple of pictures that I like and send them your way. I've already got at least one in mind. I enjoy doing my blogs, etc. It's one of the only things that keep me sane. I have no problem with you being detached. That's your prerogative, but it's not for me. Sorry.

dino martin peters said...

Hey pallie Keith, nothin' to be sorry 'bout....certainly our Dino woulda want each of us to lives our life in the way that is best for each of us....have a great weekend doin' what is great for you....just be sure to include some Dino....
