Dean Martin Is Backstage

This picture comes courtesy of my pallie Timmy.

DinoBackstage1961-fromtimmy

This is a picture of Dean Martin and a bunch of other folks backstage somewhere in 1961. I have no clue where this is and what's going on here. Any ideas? It's still cool to see any picture of Dino. I do often wonder what would it would have been like to have lived back then and had the chance to work with him.

P.S. I never started either of my blogs as a way of making money. I started both of them so that I could share some of my interests with others. I appreciate all the support and encouragement I've gotten since starting both my blogs. It means a lot to me. I'm glad that so many people are enjoying what I post about. I have talked up here before about the situation with my job. I don't get enough hours and the pay is low. Plus I have a lot of trouble with my boss. I'm just thankful to have a job with so many people out of work. While I enjoy blogging just for the fun of it, I did think it would be cool if I could make a few bucks in the process.

I've decided to join a few affiliate programs. They are listed on the right side of my blog in a new advertising section. I thought partnering with these companies in an affiliate program might be a good idea. I hope you will consider ordering from these companies in the future. Thanks so much.

I wish I could get a backstage pass to meet Dean.

Good luck with your new business endeavor. I'll keep it in mind when I do some more online shopping.

I just love Dean Martin :) This is a great picture! I think it must have been such an amazing experience to work with Dean, or any of the Rat Pack!
I hope things with your job improve... it sucks when you don't get along with your boss. I really hope things get better soon Keith!

Hey Phoebe. Thanks. Glad you liked that pic.

I appreciate that. Hopefully I'll make a little bit of money off of those programs. Any bit will help me out.

Hey Karyn. Thanks I appreciate that. I've got the Google ads for awhile. I think with them you get paid just for people clicking. I did want to set up some affiliate programs so people could actually do some shopping.

Hey Allison. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the photo. I like it myself. Thanks also for what you said about my job situation. I appreciate it. The job isn't that bad if it wasn't for how he's done things since he took over.

For some reason these guys don't look as happy as some of the other people in the other photos ... Keith, have you ever considered getting into the collectibles side of things e.g. buying and selling vintage type memorabilia on eBay? Best of luck to you!!

Thanks Insider. I appreciate you stopping by and commenting. Cheers!

Hey Housewife. Thanks. I appreciate that. Glad you enjoyed the photo. Yeah, this guy took over at the time the economy had fallen out. It's not like there were lots of job around that I could just find something else. I've been stuck there.

Hey Jim. Yeah, there are some down faces here. Maybe they were tired. Who knows. It might have been a long day.

Thanks for the idea. I had considered something like that. I'll have to check it out more. Cheers!

Great photo Keith. Lends to think it must of been a pre-show or post-show cast/production shot.
Best of luck with raising $ through your blog. I know there are those that you read that DO quit their jobs to do this full-time. Would be grand wouldn't it? After all, there are so many of us that read blogs more than watch t.v. or read a newspaper. It's great advertising. Thanks for the nice comments on my wee blog. Always great to hear from you!
Have a terrific week ahead - wish I could kick that nasty boss of yours for you!!

Hey Dumbwit. Thanks. Glad you liked the photo. It would be interesting to know exactly what was going on here.

I've heard of bloggers who are doing it full-time. That would be awesome. I'm not under any delusion that it will be me. It would be nice just to bring in a little extra money every month doing something I enjoy.

Love looking at old photos and wondering about all the history that took place.
I meant to thank you sooner for your comments on the *weighty* post, Keith. Sorry to hear you get hurtful comments, people can just be mean so I hope you don't take them to heart.
Hope you had a great weekend!

Keith said...

Hey Ela. Thanks. It is neat to wonder what was going on at the time of a photo.

You are very welcome. My weight is something I've struggled with on and off over the years. I don't get crap like a lot of people. It's not so bad I can't handle it.

I have an obsession with backstage shots that picture the cast and crew all together. Fabulous pic! :)

Such a cool shot! We often see him paired up with other mega celebs, but I'd imagine that being in show business, a lot of his time was actually spent in the presence of the "behind the scenes" folks like these men.

I sincerely hope that things get better for you soon, my friend.

Wishing you better days ahead,
♥ Jessica

Hey Wheel. Thanks. I appreciate that. Cheers!

Hey Jessica. Yeah, I know what you mean. You see pics all the time of stars together. Much of their time was actually spent probably with people like this. Thanks. I appreciate that. Cheers!
