Frank Sinatra Says Goodbye To His Folks

sinatra

Here's a picture of Frank Sinatra saying goodbye to his parents Tony and Dolly in the mid-1960's. I'm not sure who the other woman is in the photo. None of them look too happy though. I wonder what's on their minds. Who knows. They might have been talking about life's ups and downs. That makes me think of the Sinatra song That's Life. This classic tune by Frank Sinatra has become the theme song of my life these last couple of years.

Lol they do look grouchy. Maybe someone scratched that sleek car they are all looking at!

Hey Clare. That's certainly possible. They sure don't none look happy.

They do look like a bunch of grumps. That song could be my theme song as well these days.

Family shots are always intriguing, as long as they don't invade that persons privacy...It gives you an insight to their life

What a great shot! It seems like the photographer caught them right in between a heated discussion.

Hey Keith, That's Life is one of my favorites, too. I have always felt more likely to relacionate with this song than with My Way. I have thought many times that this is one of Frank's more true song considering my own life. The others are They Can't Take That Away from Me or The Best Is Yet to Come (well, I hope so). I answered to your post at my blog if you have time, you can take a look. Have a nice day!

Hey Phoebe. Glad you agree on both accounts. Have a great day. Cheers!

Hey Mrs. B. You are very welcome. Yeah, that song helps me keep on trucking along.

Hey Gingey. Thanks. I love seeing photos of stars with their families. I posted the one of Frank with his daughter Tina not long ago. It was neat to find this one of him with his parents.

Hey Rachel. Glad you liked it. Yeah, I do wonder what was going on that the photog caught. Something was going on here.

Hey Kristyna. Thanks. I'll check out your blog. I love this song. It definitely speaks to me. My Way is the sorta song I can see resonating with me maybe when I'm even order even though I've noticed that now that I'm close to 40 I'm listening to it a lot more.

That's the first pic I've seen of Frank's parents. Great stuff Keith.

Check out Sinatra at the Albert Hall 1970 I think one of the greatest gigs ever - must be on youtube!

I thought I had seen almost all the Sinatra photos that exist over the years but you keep surprising me. He was a great artist. I went up to shake his hand after he came offstage at the Tacomadome in Washington and his charisma was unbelievable. Where most rock stars are mobbed these days, everyone stepped back to make way for him as he walked through the crowd. It was an amazing sight. He seemed to walk on air he came down from the stage.

Amazing how he looks so much like his father. I don't think they look grumpy just not posing & focused on what's next which is parting. People were definitely not as silly back then. That's Life I guess!

i think i look exactly that unhappy every time i have to deal with my older sister and brother.

Maybe they're sad they're leaving? Haha, they do look really grumpy! But I do love that song =) I was watching CSI the other night and they played that song at the end of an episode!

Hey James. I'm glad I can share some pictures up here that you might not have seen. That's really cool about your story. Thanks for sharing that. It's awesome that you got a chance to shake his hand. Sinatra was definitely someone special. I would be in such awe of him.

Keith said...

Hey Dumbwit. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Yeah, they might not have been upset over anything. They just might not wanted to smile. Who knows.

Keith said...

Hey Drollgirl. lol I'm like that every single time I have to deal with my boss.

Keith said...

Hey Allison. Thanks. Glad you enjoy the song too. That's cool about them playing it on CSI. I do wonder what's got them so grumpy.

Keith said...

Hey Liz. lol Good one. I know the feeling. That's how I am too.

Keith said...

Hey Amy. That's a possibility. I do wonder though.

Somewhat turbulent expressions on each of their faces, I agree. But in reality, who hasn't had a least a few partings from your relatives where you looked much the same way ;P

Thank you very much for all of your wonderful comments, Keith. Have a lovely evening,
